Your gif reminded me of a recent debate between my friend group...

What is the better TV show: Seinfeld or Friends?

"Friend group" is that what the kids call their friends now days, or is that some sort of artificial intelligence for you to socialize with?

Seinfeld was probably the better showing writing wise etc., but the more I watched it in repeats the more it stuck out what horrible people these characters were.   Friends was a bit more of a comfort food that I could watch multiple times (and I was basically in the same age as them and same stage of life - without the huge Manhattan apartment and unlimited free time).

Cheers was probably my favorite show from the 80's early 90's.   Watching old repeats, the original Bob Newhart Show, MTM, and the Dick Van Dyke show hold up pretty well.

Speaking of Burns and Allen, I used to listen to their old radio show (repeats years after the fact, I am not Chief's age), and they held up pretty well - same with Jack Benny.

Any line ups yet?

I think Bob Newhart, MTM, MASH, All and the Family, and Carol Burnett were amazingly all part of the same  Saturday line up.

Older friends too, vanimal. You young knuckleheads ever heard of Lucille Ball or Jackie Gleason?

My opinion: The Andy Griffith Show is the peak of TV sitcoms. It really holds up well even today. Incredible writing, tremendous characters.

'And what's the deal with "how you doin'", eh?'

"Another note from Cliff; back in pirate days the front of a sailing ship was known as the forecastle and the rear of the ship was called the aftcastle. That meant if you were standing in the middle of the ship you were half-aftcastle; thus the etymology of the more modern “half-a$$ed”."

Fortunately GT's operate on a level that would preclude anyone from asking, "where is the poop deck"!

but wouldn't preclude someone from asking "where is the deck poop?"

Kind of speechless right now...

Well these last two starts should quiet down the chatter about the studly rotation, for a bit anyway.

The best tv lineup, bar none, happened roughly 45 years ago.

All in the Family

The Carol Burnett Show

Mary Tyler Moore

The Bob Newhart Show

everything was better back in the day....

God these pirates announcers are just brutal.

All right, I guess I'll have to switch over and listen for a while.

Really, really getting tired of seeing the third spot in the order be a black hole.

Sano needs to be moved down to the 6th spot until he can keep his K rate solidly below 35% or his AVG/OBP so high it doesn't matter.

Twins need to be patient. 17 pitches at 1.2 IP is not enough

Easy for you to say, sitting in your warm house ;)
