Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 What it the world has gotten into Gibson? Inconceivable!obligatory
jud6312 Verified Member Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Will we get to see a Gibby shutout? Or will Paulie call upon his fellow eastsider to come in and give the Royals offense the self-esteem boost they desperately need with a 6-run 9th?
Monkeypaws Verified Member Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Is that Reggie Jackson pitching for the Twins? Man he has been awesome of late.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 The last name Butera.Oh, well, duh! I blame the concussion.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 "played", in parenthesis?http://larrybrownsports.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/mark-sanchez-clipboard.jpgNope. I was no joe kapp but I surely played
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 All this football talk reminds me that I saw a d3 score from MN today....98-0
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Btw, saw an excellent Miracle game tonight. They win 4-1. Hoping to go again tomorrow, and if they are in the playoffs, Tuesday, too.

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 and miles to go before you sleep? (looked it up. I'm a bit miffed as I should have recognized Frost.)I don't know how pervasive it was but, my Minnesotan junior high school education included memoriIng this specific poem. (and now i'm searching for more words to fit he song "frosty the poet" beyond "was a melancholy soul")
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Not gonna drive up to St. Pete for the Twins series? No. Here to visit my parents and that would take too much time away; and I head home Thursday morning.
Monkeypaws Verified Member Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 I can tell my grandkids I saw Niko's first MLB at bat. Decent
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Nico Goodrum, y'all! Good first at-bat... Big swing at that first pitch, worked the count to 3-2, then splintered a bat and sprinted to first. Not bad. Super-utility man. I bet he could throw a few strikes, too...!
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Heeeeeeerrrrre's Niko!He worked the count full. Good for him!
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Good thing Taylor has a large safety net to work with.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Wow, Vargas made a good play.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Or maybe you don't put needless innings on Gibson's arm, and let him leave with his desperately needed self-esteem boosted?I don't know. Let's see what Souhan says.
adorduan Verified Member Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Not sure I get taking Gibson out after 81 pitches.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Not sure I get taking Gibson out after 81 pitches. Nothing else to prove. No sense in wasting his arm in a 14-0 game.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Good thing Taylor has a large safety net to work with.It has been awhile since he has pitched. I imagine the Twins wanted to get him in there. His only role in this series in a close game is likely pitching to Hosmer and Moustakas. Only 13 pitches. He should be fine tomorrow. I would guess Turley and Perkins for the 8th and 9th. Maybe not Turley. They might want to hold him to be the long guy if needed tomorrow.
Monkeypaws Verified Member Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Wow, did Gordon fall off or what? .220 last year, .198 this year, 20 million per the next two years, maybe a third at 23, for a 33 year old. I take back any bad thing I may have said Joe Mauer
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Run differential positive.
