Game Thread: Twins vs Royals, 9/2/17 @ 7:10 PM CT

[PseudoSABR]

Coming after that run differential.  I like it.

[Craig Arko]

Twins started play with a -16 run differential. May be positive by the time this one is over.

[Blake]

Wow, just wow.

[Blake]

Only the second inning so I hope the Twins don't get the idea they can relax.

Same for Mr. Gibson.

[Brock Beauchamp]

Forgot today was a 6 o'clock start and just flipped to the game.

Looks like we'll be helping out that run differential today

And here in Ft Myers in the bottom of the 7th, it's 3-1 Miracle, no outs, runners at the corners, top of the order. Still hoping to see a Rooker hr. (He's batting 3rd)

Just got home. Is the Vikes and Chiefs preseason on the scoreboard?

[Richie the Rally Goat]

Anyone else perplexed by the SS in LF and 3 outfielders on the bench

[twinssporto]

I feel like I'm in fantasy land...With Sano in the lineup it might be 14-0

[Pius Jefferson]

Not unless the Vikings got a defensive touchdown.

[twinssporto]

With a score like this I hope Gibson mans up and throws inside and hard!

Yes, but as long as he can get away with it*, he can do it the rest of the season

*not likely

[snepp]

Just turned on the game, WTF?

[jimbo92107]

Just got here. Anything happen?

[spinowner]

Just turned on the game, WTF?

Those of us who have been watching since the start of the game are wondering the same thing.

[USAFChief]

Just turned on the game, WTF?

I know, right?

Gibson two scoreless innings!!

[Squirrel]

Just turned on the game, WTF?

You know all these shocked wtf's are akin to jinxes. Just say 'All right!' and carry on.

The Twins are better at scoring TDs with their drive of the game compared to the Vikings.

Mauer hits the hook pattern.

5 safeties is more likely.

[jimbo92107]

I did a visible double-take when I looked at the score. I gave my harness bells a shake, to see if there was some mistake. Nope, that's just baseball.

[Blake]

Another strikeout by Mr. Gibson.

Whoever kidnapped the Kyle Gibson we once knew and replaced him with the current version, well, all I can say is: Keep him and don't bother with the ransom note.

I'm afraid to ask.

[yarnivek1972]

And we thought the Twins had pitching issues

[Twodogs]

Don't look now but Mauer is hitting .302 and Gibby is pitching for a new contract

You kids get out of my gutter!

[D. Hocking]

With Mauer having his best post-concussion season (it does make you wonder how much the concussion cost him), you have to wonder if he could maybe go help the Vikings offense.  I bet he can still throw a mean pass that goes beyond 5 yards.

Inspired baseball.  It's always the best!
