Saved the challenge, though. They add up over the course of a season. Hmm, what's that? They can't be saved, like in a bank?

You can't challenge the fact your player made a bad mistake, they can look at the replay they might even actually feel sorry for you, but it wouldn't have mattered.  It would be far better to save it for an infield single with nobody on and 2 out then waste it on that correct call.

That third strike call on Escobar was one of the worst I've ever seen. The ump waited a full three seconds and then decided to call him out even though the pitch wasn't near the strike zone. 

 

Also, Rosario was safe on first. It's too bad with challenges requiring 'decisive' evidence, only dumb calls can be overturned, and close ones will rarely be flipped. That was a close play but Rosario's hand clearly hit the base before Miller's foot.

It wasn't a bad play in that situation. Miller would have had an easier time tagging a running Rosario than beating him to the bag. There are times when it makes sense. Usually, when a tag is in play - as it was there.

A better slide would have resulted in a call of safe. He hit the ground a fraction too soon or too hard or something, and was running on fumes when he finally reached the bag. Game of inches. It shouldn't have been close enough that replay would be (apparently) inconclusive like that.
