Blake Verified Member Posted June 18, 2017 Author Posted June 18, 2017 And that inning's why Gibson still has a job. Excellent job by Mr. Gibson.
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Gibby looks good. Still, distressing we went down on 8 pitches in the first when Bauer averages almost 20 pitches per inning. Got to get him throwing a bunch.
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Why don't they show the k-zone? Looks like Vargas had a couple of legit gripes.
Whammy Verified Member Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Bad job by FoxSports not showing the FoxTrax on the two inside called strikes on Vargas. The first one looked way inside. Second one was questionable, but apparently we needed to hear about "the big thing" from Audra.
Whammy Verified Member Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Lol. What a terrible slide from Kepler. What else could go wrong
mikecgrimes Verified Member Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Dick Breamer on a play that scores a run and would leave you 2nd and 3rd with one out thinks the Twins didn't challenge because they don't want to risk it this early? I guess they must be saving it for a potential 5 run play later.
Whammy Verified Member Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 If you "can't risk burning a challenge" here then when the hell can you? Btw. I don't think it would get overturned, but I'm just sick of the "can't burn the challenge" commentary.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Head first slide he's safe. Get the lead lead down, safe.
Jerr Verified Member Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Twins waste another possible big inning!
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 If you "can't risk burning a challenge" here then when the hell can you? Btw. I don't think it would get overturned, but I'm just sick of the "can't burn the challenge" commentary. The whole challenge system is stupid. Have someone overturn the play from the booth if it should be overturned. Should take ten seconds and managers wouldnt have to worry about screwing it up.

I don't think it would get overturned, but I'm just sick of the "can't burn the challenge" commentary. If replay somehow was able to correct all calls 100% of the time you would challenge that play every time on the 2% chance there he missed the tag.
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Head first slide he's safe. Get the lead lead down, safe. Maybe his parents could help with his footwork.
Jerr Verified Member Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Gibson doing his job, NOW GET HIM SOME RUNS!!!!!!!
mikecgrimes Verified Member Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 The whole challenge system is stupid. Have someone overturn the play from the booth if it should be overturned. Should take ten seconds and managers wouldnt have to worry about screwing it up. True but since the system is what it is there needs to be better strategy. In the end challenging that would be like challenging a routine fly out. Ump clearly got it right.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 18, 2017 Author Posted June 18, 2017 I like this Gibson so far. And we've seen this Gibson a couple of times already this year. Yeah, yeah, small sample size. But with as desperate as the Twins are for pitching, have to try to find some a little positive.
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 No downward plane for Bauer, Bert?
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Finally, Ramirez is out. I hate that guy.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 18, 2017 Author Posted June 18, 2017 4 innings, one run from Gibson. I'll take that. Let's hope Mr. Gibson goes 8 and the Twins get him some runs.
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Unfortunately, it looks like we're on the way to a 2.25-0 loss. Oh well, the White Sox come in against our two starting pitchers this week, so maybe we can win a game or two.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Wow, I'm surprised Gibson made it through that inning. The bats have to come through for him...
wavedog Verified Member Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Nice job by Gibson to work out of that jam. It appears we cannot score of Trevor Bauer like the rest of the league. He has shut us down a couple times this year.
kydoty Verified Member Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Junior PA announcer called Escobar the 2nd pitcher. It was adorable.
twinsbaby Verified Member Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Oh, man. Twins swing every pitch and then miss it.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 It's Trevor Bauer, for pete's sake.
mikecgrimes Verified Member Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Really appreciated the effort by Rosario on the strikeout trotting out of the batters box, and then remembering the fans don't pay enough for tickets for him to run hard. And the great thing is he gave a hell of a lot more effort then Escobar. Fire Molitor, no excuse for allowing that.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Someone needs to get drilled, right now. Put your foot down, Molitor. The swings they're taking, the "one flap" crap. You can't let a team disrespect you like that.
