Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 You spelled it wrong: http://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=sa658292&position=P And no, they did not acquire him either.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 What a great day to not know they had a day game. Good lord.
rghrbek Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 B.Doz continues his torrid pace at hitting with runners in scoring position.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 This. So much this. Anyone clamoring for the FO to give up prospects in order to try and fix the bullpen needs to have their head examined. We are nowhere near ready to compete with the Astros, or probably the Yankees/Red Sox. Before this series, I thought the Twins would need 10 games to get 4 wins against the Stros. Now I think it's more like 13 or 14.Where did you find the 4 wins in that scenario?
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Really wish Santiago had started the 7th....
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Gameday says he only throws change ups?
Loosey Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Giminez on the mound!!!He's probably one of the better relievers right now.
Blake Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Wow, did that get out of hand. I hope we're not about to witness another death spiral. I predicted 71 wins for this team this year but, after the Twins got off to a good start, I was hoping for .500. Ah well.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 I think I'm at the point where I believe Molitor is even overusing Giminez.
Puckett34 Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 He's probably one of the better relievers right now.Best ERA by far
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Best ERA by farAt this rate, he may even qualify by seasons end.
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Man, another reliever debacle. Is there anything at all in the minors? Jay? Chargois? Hildenberger? Bueller? Busenitz and Hildenberger should both be up without a doubt. They both have ERA's around 2, WHIPs under 1, and k/9's above 9.I If you wanted to get crazy, and at this point, why not, you could also bring up Melotakis and Rosario from Chatty. They both have ERA's under 2.5, WHIPs under 1, and k/9's at/just below 9
gocgo Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Giminez on the mound!!!Yeeeeeaaaaaaahhhhh baby!
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 At this rate, he may even qualify by seasons end. Ouch.
HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Just got home. No game on FoxNet. Tuned into DayGame. So, it bears the question: Is it still NOT the end of the world?
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 I think the late Bill Paxton summed up the current state of the Twins bullpen pretty succinctly as Pvt. Hudson, after the dropship crash in Aliens: "We're in some real pretty $#!t now, man!!!"
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Where did you find the 4 wins in that scenario? A series of bloops, duck snorts, and Merkle hoppers from our offense, with some great anti-BABIP and strand rate work from the pitching staff. After all, if you win only 4 out of every 14 games, you're a 46 win team. I would say it's fair to say this team over the past 3 days has looked about 13 wins worse than last year's edition.

mickeymental Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 well, wheeler and gimenez got six outs before six runs scored.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Dang! There goes the perfect ERA. Fortunately, the sparking peripherals are still intact.
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 If we somehow win this game here in the ninth, it's the greatest comeback in baseball history, right? I mean it has to be.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 If we somehow win this game here in the ninth, it's the greatest comeback in baseball history, right? I mean it has to be. When, not if.....
wavedog Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 This looks like what the score would be if the Texans played the Vikings. Defensive battle or should I say lack of offense battle.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 I'd like to think that the Astros proved they are for real. The Twins might need to up for a series or two just so league allows these games to remain valid wins for the Astros.
kydoty Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 28 runs in 9 innings for our bullpen in this series. 28!!!
Blake Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 When, not if.....Wow, I'd like to know the color of the sky of the world you inhabit, because it certainly isn't the planet I'm on...
