Santiago may actually be our worst starting pitcher. That's hard to do with Gibson in the rotation. 

I'm guessing that you'll change your tune tomorrow.

Barring a couple runs by the Twins, it still makes little sense to use Duffey, Rogers or Kintzler today. So, my guess is Pressly, Breslow and Belisle for 1 IP each. May God have mercy.

I did not expect Santiago to pitch in the 6th today! So that's nice.

They almost have to bring him back out there right?

 

Who are we going to burn in the 7th-9th?  Duffey and Rogers?  I mean they have not pitched in a couple of games right?  I'd say we might want to save them for meaning full innings tomorrow, but then I realized who was starting.

Is Gibson tomorrow? I've already formed the opinion that Mejia is better than Santiago, or at least gives us a better chance to win. Gibson, on the other hand, he.... well...  sucks, frankly. 

My bad, Mejia is slated for tomorrow.  Gibson for Friday.

I will 2nd the my bad, as I thought Gibby was starting tomorrow as well.  That makes the question out there a good one, who finishes off this game?  Hopefully not Duffey or Rogers.

I guess what is slightly depressing is that we are at home, we didn't face the 3 top Astros starters in this series and we had Santana and Berrios pitching.   And yet none of the games have ended up being close.   Their hitters sure look locked in.  Maybe we will do better when we play them in Houston and we can catch them in a cold spell.

I mean, he was at .147/.256/.176 for the month of April, and before today's game was .250/.311/.382 in May.  He's made great strides this month, and is no longer an offensive liability, particularly given how amazing his defense is.

I would take .250 from him any day, and that OB%...especially with that D, and his base stealing abilities.

Polanco not looking too good lately offensively - he might need a day off. 

He's been striking out at an elevated level lately.  Dick is going to have less to talk about during his at bats.

It looked (on Gameday) like Houston was going to swing at everything, to get this game over with.
