Game Thread: Twins @ Orioles, 5/24 @ 11:35AM CT

[John Kelsey]

Wow, hell of a pitch by Rogers.

[gocgo]

Yeaaaaaaah!

[Cap'n Piranha]

Not a bad job by Rogers there.  I can live with that.

[ashbury]

Curveball looking! Always a pleasure to watch (against the other team).

[Mike Sixel]

They're seriously going with Rogers this whole inning huh?

It worked, but, um, that's like praising a drunk driver for getting home safely....IMO, of course.

[TwinsCD]

How does a major league hitter stand up there and look at 3 straight pitches over the plate?  I guess I just saw it.

[ashbury]

Wow, hell of a pitch by Rogers.

Hell of a take by the batter.

[gocgo]

Our shutdown, door slammin' closer coming in the 9th to face Mancini, Schoop, and Hardy...what could possibly go wrong?  LOL!  Insurance anyone?

[John Kelsey]

Well the bases are empty so maybe it's time for a Dozier home run.

In 2005, I watched Michael Cuddyer do that exact same thing in the bottom of the 10th, down 1, 2 outs, runner on third, against the White Sox.  That soured me on Cuddy for a long time.

He's been warming up lately with the bases clear no doubt...I will take a lead off walk.  Assuming bunt is coming

[TwinsCD]

OK Kintzler, no circus acts here.

"It's only a baseball game

...it's only a baseball game

...it's only a baseball game..."

[rghrbek]

Sano with 7k's in last two games?  Wow.  Kinda looks like he is trying to pull all those outside pitches...and most of the pitches have been outside that he has seen.

Does Sano think DH stands for "Don't hit".?

Winnah. Chicken dinner.

[John Kelsey]

Great win, I was convinced they would lose this game about 20 minutes ago.

[rghrbek]

Yup, here we go again, with an Eddie Guardado type of save I guess....

I hope.

Good thing Morris told Dozier to step on the bag or who knows what he might have done.....whew!

[bighat]

SCHHWEEEEEEP!

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

7 games over .500

[Cap'n Piranha]

Winnah!

[DocBauer]

THUD

[TwinsCD]

Awesome play by Dozier there to get the DP and make up for his error in the 8th and I'll be preparing my chicken tonite a la broom style!

[ashbury]

Kintzler showed good reflexes in *not* going after that comebacker. It got to Dozier quicker that way.

[Blake]

The Twins just swept Baltimore on the road.

The Twins.

I'm having trouble with this concept.

[rghrbek]

6 pitch save.  Man is it me or did O's have some really bad innings at the plate through out this series...Santana had 3 innings of 7, 6 and 6 pitches.

Big win.
