Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 This is nothing new. Yeah, its frustrating, because he's great at creating contact--if he'd only swing at pitches he could make good contact on, he'd be really good.
rghrbek Verified Member Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 Not sure what's up with Rosario. He doesn't look good at the plate. He's swinging a lot, but at the wrong pitches. This is different how???
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 True, but usually Rosario swings at the wrong pitches with more confidence. Right now he doesn't look confident, just worried.Maybe that's a sign that he's finally realizing that he's swinging at the wrong pitches.
Darius Verified Member Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 Perfect timing from Morris, there. That's pretty funny.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 I'm not going to say Jack Morris jinxed Berrios with "something special," but...argh...
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 The Baltimore play-by-play guy is talking about Berrios' high school in Puerto Rico, Papa Juan. He explains to his cohort that Juan is Spanish for John, and asks if that means Berrios majored in pizza. Two things-- 1) Papa in Spanish refers to the Pope, so its Pope John, not the slinger of pizza. 2) You don't have a major in high school.
Jerr Verified Member Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 I can't listen today, but it's obvious the Twins first four really got my wake up call from yesterday's game lol lol
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 Berrios really does have a butt-buckling slider. Butt out, yer out!

jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 Pitcher beat Buxton, but he runs faster than a normal human.
AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 From the field (seats right behind 1B) update: Vargas during warmups:1)Barehands a throw from Dozier one inning2)Bounces one off his bicep before starting warmup tosses the next inning Definitely got a little Big Papi vibe going. Also,4-1, Hardy HRAlso, 5-year old update: 1)hot dog, lemonade, and ice cream...already2)rooting for Orioles "because it sounds like Oreos"3)"why didn't [Adam Jones] throw it to me?"...as he was coming off the field
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 See if Buck bothers Tillman on the mound, tee-hee!
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 Schoop had no purpose in making that throw on Buxton.

I might have to become an O's fan too!
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 So essentially anything to the left side of the infield to the fielders backhand, is a base hit for Buck.........nice.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 Dozier's lucky he didn't get busted for interference and thus, wiping Buxton off the bases too.

Perhaps this announcer would know that had he gone to high school?
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 Apparently Berrios has yet to allow a hit with a runner on base this season.
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 Well, he just called Eddie Eduardo Rosario.
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 Hmmmmm, I don't like what's happening thus far this inning. Get that control back.
rghrbek Verified Member Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 Berries first real challenge...let's see how he does
rghrbek Verified Member Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 Anyone else see that chart? Is FSN suggesting that his slider is his curve ball????
JustinCB Verified Member Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 Jose lookin' good boy. Feels like those halcyon days when Johan was comin' up. Loving this.
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 Jose is getting squeezed right now. Pitch 4 and 6 were both strikes.
spinowner Provisional Member Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 Hey Cap'n! Thanks for askin. Good: It's my day off. Bad: Gotta leave soon for the dentist office. How you doin?I bet you have a tooth-hurty appointment.
