Any updates on Meyer?

Entered FBI's witnessprotection program in June.  Heard he had reconstructive surgery and is now an outside hitter on the women's volleyball team at Cal State Fullerton.

Nice talk w/ Mike Radcliff for podcast -- will post tonight. Alex Meyer update: not close to returning to game action. Unfortunate. #mntwins

Uggh, at this point I'd give up on him as a starter (not because of performance, but because of injury concerns), and try to turn him into a formidable bullpen weapon.

Damn.  At this point, I'd fire Molitor.  But it's not really related.  Maybe.

Well, if I remember right, they were saying he was experiencing this pain because of pitching multiple days a week... I don't know if the bullpen will be good for him or not. I'm not expecting much of anything from Meyer going forward, which is too bad.

I liken discussion of Meyer to DiMaggio's continual purchase of roses for Marilyn's grave.

Does anyone recall that there was some sort of vote amongst the brass/management over Meyer starting again? Felt like Molitor wanted him in the pen. Now that TR is gone, is it possible that vote has changed? Maybe I am misremembering.

Not that it matters, if he can't get healthy. Of course, if he had gotten a fair shot at starting, maybe he would be healthy now.

I was misremembering long before you thought of that word! You just forgot about it! :). :)

I think you are right, TR voted starting.
