With the throwing accuracy he showed at QB, he is better off losing 100 lb. to become a jockey.
  3. insane16
Pitchers don't throw "changeups and breaking pitches" to bad hitters.

Hicks was being re-positioned as a corner OF a swing-OF. That has to do with Rosario and Kepler.
  6. insane16
    Especially in Rochester, NY!

With Rosario and Kepler killing it, can we quit whining about the Hicks trade?
  9. insane16
And I agree with that. Polanco can PLAY SS, but he can't BE THE SS if he is defensively inadequate at SS. If he (or Dozier) plays 2B, SS and 3B; they can all get a lot of playing time.

None of those examples involve someone who is an inadequate SS (or catcher) playing those DEFENSE-FIRST positions to add another bat to the lineup. Other positions, OK, but you don't sacrifice defense at SS or catcher.

    P & P & P & P = Palka & Polanco & Plouffe & Park

OK, I understand, although I disagree.

Everyone on the Twins 40-man is not good enough to trade for Fernando Abad, so that logic is difficult to follow. Miguel Sano is also on the 40-man. Is he "taking a roster spot from someone who is, at the least, equally as good"?

I don't know that living within 15 miles of the stadium makes anything less or more true. It doesn't, but it exposes me to more Angels fans/media and less Dodgers fans/ media. My friends are predominantly Angel fans (poor bleepers!) and I hear their complaints. It just sounds like Santiago is not as hated as Ricky Fiasco is on TD and STRIB blogs.

"whatever reason" was either inability to locate a strike zone or insufficient health care coverage.

Wheeler is no long term answer, but maybe deserves his four weeks of fame in an MLB tryout. He is 25, and it's probably now or never. Duffey needs to work on his mechanics during a month of bullpens away from MLB pressure. Mejia is possibly the long term answer. Right now there are no MLB-ready starters on the 40-man-roster. That is why Wheeler (who has the best 2016 AAA-AA numbers) needs to replace Pat Dean (horrible numbers) on the 40-man. In September, the problem will go away.
  22. insane16
    You are SPOT ON CORRECT!
  23. insane16
IMHO... Tyler Duffey NEEDS to be sent to Rochester until September 1 call-up. Pat Dean NEEDS to be sent OUTRIGHT (removed from 40-man) to Rochester. Jason Wheeler NEEDS to be added to 40-man (replacing Pat Dean) Jason Wheeler NEEDS to be added to 25-man (replacing Tyler Duffey) Jason Wheeler's 2016 stats 9-3 W-L 2.55 ERA 27 BB 111 K .233 OBA 1.09 WHIP
