tharasix Provisional Member Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Turns out they won't pitch to Sano with a base open. I mean, he's a bit of a different hitter than Murphy, I guess.
tharasix Provisional Member Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 lessons learned so far:-It is preferable for a pitcher to strike out 5 opponents than to walk 5 opponents.-Although slow and dangerous behind the wheel, Ricky Nolasco can serve a purpose. Hell, Nolasco should be brought in to pinch hit for Murphy.

tharasix Provisional Member Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Can somebody who's watching this game tell me what the Brewers just did? Why replace your CF during a pitching change? (At least, that's what ESPN gamecast tells me)
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 This inning has been going on for way too long. We need an Escobar strikeout here. I have faith in this team's ability to execute for the Brewers.
FunnyPenguin Provisional Member Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Seems like loading the bases isn't uncommon anymore, now we just need some Papa slams!!
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 So, barring a triple play or runs being scored here, do you pinch-hit Park for Murphy?

(At least, that's what ESPN gamecast tells me) Double switch--the pitcher's spot is due up first in the bottom of the inning.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 So, barring a triple play or runs being scored here, do you pinch-hit Park for Murphy? No. Murphy deserves a bit of patience and it's only the fifth inning.
mikeee Provisional Member Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Better get some runs out of this situation..
tharasix Provisional Member Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Bases full with nobody out. They've got us right where they want us.
FunnyPenguin Provisional Member Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 So, barring a triple play or runs being scored here, do you pinch-hit Park for Murphy?Yes!! Then we might score.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Man, I did not see that strikeout coming.
70charger Verified Member Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Bases loaded again, but it's cool. Murphy's up.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Christ, Escobar. That was awful.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 This offense rarely fails to execute for the defense.
Foghorn Leghorn Verified Member Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 We traded Hicks for this guy??? Why??
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 No. Murphy deserves a bit of patience and it's only the fifth inning. Do you ever get tired of being wrong?
Blake Verified Member Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 This is getting old. The Twins are probably leading the league in baserunners and leading the league in lack of runs scored.
Hrbowski Verified Member Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 We traded Hicks for this guy??? Why??Ever take a look at how awful Hicks is doing?
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 0 for 12 with the bases loaded this season. I mean, you have to TRY to be that awful.
Foghorn Leghorn Verified Member Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Ever take a look at how awful Hicks is doing?nope, saw he had the fastest outfield throw ever, meanwhile we are stuck with John Ryan DoublePlay
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Esco and Murphy are a combined 0-6 with 14 men left on base. The rest of the team is 5-12 with 6 walks and 4 men left on base.
FunnyPenguin Provisional Member Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 With zero baseball game experience, I could probably stroll up to the plate in my wranglers and a graphic tee and do better than Murphy.
PopRiveter Verified Member Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Lessons learned:-the Twins' confidence may have been misplacedhttp://www.twincities.com/2015/12/08/twins-confident-john-ryan-murphy-will-add-offense-at-catcher/
