USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Sounds like a toughy...An es-caped crusador?Quite possibly better than the answer I had in mind, but not the answer I had in mind.
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Going up against a very homer prone pitcher...Better get Sano out of the lineup. Also going up against a very good contact hitting team...Better put our best defensive outfielder on the bench. Careful, too much truth for a game thread.
Foghorn Leghorn Verified Member Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Uhhh why is our best HR hitter out against a HR prone pitcher? Why is Santana batting second? Why is Buxton not playing? Also, Arcia will hit a bomb. Calling it now, not sure what is going through Molitors head though, pretty ugly.

ashbury Verified Member Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 So as not to let you down...What would you call Batman skipping Church?Adam Rest?
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 I meant regular starters who would ideally bat 9th.Sorry. Yeah i knew whatcha meant. I was just being pedentic. Or something. For my own personal amusement. It does tend to get in the way of informed discussion from time to time... I'll try to work on that.
Dr. Evil Verified Member Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 I think the bats come alive tonight and the Twins win by six!
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Adam Rest? Also very good! But i am gonna keep trying to figure out what Chief has in mind... Guessing riddles is like crosswords clues without the number of letters and inherent crosschecking...

alarp33 Provisional Member Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 This Danny Santana obsession from Molitor is going to be the end of me. Why exactly do we think he's different or better than Gardenhire at this point?
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Uhhh why is our best HR hitter out against a HR prone pitcher? Why is Santana batting second? Why is Buxton not playing?I agree with the first two, but I get why Buxton's on the bench. He's leading the team in strikeouts. He needs to take a break on the bench.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 I think the bats come alive tonight and the Twins win by six!If this comes true we will want to require a Batman joke from Chief before every game! "Riddle me this, Batboy Wonder..."
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Incorrect Ash. Also probably better'n mine, but still incorrect. We prolly need Spinowner. He "thinks" like me.

ashbury Verified Member Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Incorrect Ash. Also probably better'n mine, but still incorrect. The nature of my submission should tell you that I cheated and looked up the answer first.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 In other words, the difference between highly structured and unstructured problems. Yes. Or perhaps a tight or closed structure vs. an loose or open one. Humor often does have a structure, or it tends to fall flat... Now i'm trying to come up with a pithy way to contrast dark knight and sunday as an answer... not yet succeeding.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 The nature of my submission should tell you that I cheated and looked up the answer first. I'm shocked, SHOCKED to learn of cheating in this establishment.

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 The nature of my submission should tell you that I cheated and looked up the answer first. "Only be sure to call it research!" (from a song that gives the secret of success in mathematics... that i quote tongue in cheek)
OrangeKicks Provisional Member Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Maybe my patience is a fault, but there is literally nothing Sanó or Buxton could have done through FOUR games that would have made me say, "Yeah, they need to take a seat."

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 I know you are all HUGE fans of my, uh, "jokes." Is that a joke?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Incorrect Ash. Also probably better'n mine, but still incorrect. We prolly need Spinowner. He "thinks" like me.If that's true, then we're in big trouble. Are you my brother?
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Is that a joke?"A loyal friend is someone who will laugh at your jokes when they're not so good, and sympathize with your problems when they're not so bad." Chief's got a lot of loyal friends here, and rightly so.
Blake Verified Member Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 The combined 4-27 with with 16 K's is also interesting.Interesting is one way to put it.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Also has two doublesWhat has santana done to be in the lineup over him?Buxton has 9 Ks in 3 games. The two doubles were nice, but not enough compared to all of those whiffs. I also think it's more about Buxton getting a day off rather than Santana deserving it.
