Intramural Legend Verified Member Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 I have a far bigger question on letting Rosario bat than Santana.
Jham Verified Member Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Settle down Mr. The Stick, settle down...
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 I wonder if Dozier runs into Escobar at the end of that play, if there was a chance for an obstruction call. TwinsCD, spinowner and Jham 3
jimmer Verified Member Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 (edited) worse plate discipline on the team facing the best reliever in baseball over the last three years. Edited April 9, 2016 by jimmer Mill1634 1
Darius Verified Member Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 There isn't a more proficient team at stranding runners in scoring position with no outs. I guess that's what Molitor gets for batting Danny Santana in the two-hole. On the bright-side, finally something you can't really blame TR for. PAUL! Willihammer 1
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 LOL, Dick. "I wonder with a new runner on second base if they changed their signs." It would seem to me, Dick, that with a NEW runner on second base, who hasn't been standing there observing, that the need to change signs, if there was one, would be gone. Willihammer 1
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 We picked up our K pace, for those keeping score at home. Danchat 1
jimmer Verified Member Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 (edited) this is getting old quickly. I know, it's only 4 games. How many games until it matters, again? Edited April 9, 2016 by jimmer
PopRiveter Verified Member Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 I'm really getting sick of watching Arcia sit on the bench while the teams scores 2, 2, 2, 3.Hope that changes now. spinowner and TheLeviathan 2

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Awful at bat. Literally anyone else would have been a better option. Terrible team right now.
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Did we win yet?Not yet. USAFChief 1
Darius Verified Member Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Swings at the balls, and watches the strikes. Rosario is a lost cause at the plate. Intramural Legend 1

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 this is getting old quickly.... I can't tell. Is that better or worse than getting old slowly? Anyway, thanks all for the company. ashbury, USAFChief, Willihammer and 2 others 5
jimmer Verified Member Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Here's a shovel for the nice big hole the twins are digging for themselves.no worries, 20 or so wins in May again will cure all ;-) Richie the Rally Goat and Aggies7 2
Blake Verified Member Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Remember, the games in April don't mean as much as the games in September. Or is it "It's a long season and it's only 4 games and no team is going to win them all." On the up side, Twins pitching is holding the opposing team to 4 runs. Definitely an improvement over the start of last year. The down side? Opposing pitching is keeping the Twins under 4 runs. LaBombo 1
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 no worries, 20 or so wins in May again will cure all ;-)I wouldn't complain of 20 wins in April either... jimmer and DaveW 2

TwinsCD Verified Member Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Not sure what some of these guys are using as their approach when they go to the plate but it's pretty f-ing terrible. Bruno needs to sit a few of these guys down (Bux, Sano especially) and drill into them what a strike looks like and to swing at it and what a strike doesn't look like and to not swing at it. Yeah, easy to say when you're sitting on a leather couch but these first 4 games have been a comical, pathetic effort. Hosken Bombo Disco, DaveW and LaBombo 3
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 g'night all. I'll have better jokes next time, I promise. I'm off to an 0-4 start. ashbury and savvyspy 2
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 I wouldn't complain of 20 wins in April either... At this point, I'll be happy with 20 wins TOTAL for the season. DaveW 1
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 I wonder if Dozier runs into Escobar at the end of that play, if there was a chance for an obstruction call. The throw back to Escobar for the tag beat Dozier by a step but if he could have run full-bore into Escobar before the throw got there, yeah, he definitely could have gotten an obstruction call. Whether or not the umpires would have seen it that way is a different story, though. USAFChief 1
AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 I wouldn't complain of 20 wins in April either...It's not too late. But the Twins should get started soon.
