David HK Verified Member Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 JHFC. Not a fan of the moves, Molly. Not a fan. Yeh, Molly's in mid-season form already. Pfft.
Foghorn Leghorn Verified Member Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Tried to warn everyone about Terry Ryan. He clearly has not built a winner, at all. 30+ strikeouts in 3 games.Teams not good, won't do anything, again... Only bright side is hoping Ryan gets canned
Champuckett Provisional Member Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 2, 2, 2. Not going to cut it.

spinowner Provisional Member Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Twins lose. Solution = beer.Coincidentally, Twins win = beer. Either way, I win.Loser, loser, Surly's boozer.

Only bright side is hoping Ryan gets cannedYeah this year I either want the twins to make the playoffs, or lose 90 games so they are forced to bring in some new blood (hopefully) we already wasted the primes of Mauer, Santana, Morneau, Liriano, Nathan, etc by not going above and beyond to build a champion, I don't want that to happen with this next crew of talented youngsters. At least Mauer and Escobar look kick ass though, Sano and Buxton will come around, so that is a start. Dozier....yeesh, I hope he turns it around.

David HK Verified Member Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 This is the chicken dinnah you get when you have a game like this. Or 3 of them.
James Verified Member Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Yeah, because only really bad teams have 3-game losing streaks. But Mauer... And $23M dollars... And... grumble, grumble, grumble...and...

Blake Verified Member Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 The Twins lose 3, so, therefore, I see a trend of 0-162. However, Joe Mauer hit a home run in 1 out of three games. Therefore, I see a trend of 53 home runs for Mr. Mauer. Also, Mr. Dozier has yet to hit, so, he's gonna go 0 for 567 for the year. Trends are awesome!
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Unless you're playing the Padres. It helps when you have a rotation of Kershaw, Kazmir and Maeda The twins got shut down by a bunch of #4 type starters.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Missed the game tonight to celebrate National Beer Day instead! After browsing over the thread and checking the box score this was a good one to miss....

wavedog Verified Member Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Another great start of the season like last year. Hopefully the embarrassment of getting swept by the team picked to finish last in the east will spur the team on to the World Series! Remember 1991!
James Verified Member Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 It helps when you have a rotation of Kershaw, Kazmir and Maeda The twins got shut down by a bunch of #4 type starters.Or maybe the Dodgers were lucky to match up against a bunch of scrubs like the Padres. Maybe a little from column A and a little from colu!n B.
Blake Verified Member Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Well, it's been a great ride. Sorry the season ended so soon. Oh, there's still 159 games to go? Well then. Play Ball!!
David HK Verified Member Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 On a brighter note, right after work, I'm going over to the Hong Kong Sevens for 3 days of debauchery, and some rugby- and watching NE Pats player Nate Ebner playing for the USA!

Maybe a little from column A and a little from colu!n B.I'd say a little more from column A The Dodgers are gonna win 95+, they are a damn good team, if Maeda is for real and Kazmir stays healthy they won't miss Grienke too much

I'm in. I'll meet you there in what I assume will be 31 hours of travel.
Foghorn Leghorn Verified Member Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 I'll try and look at things from the bright side. Only 3 games I guess. Orioles are also a pretty good team. And a very good home team. But still not a fan of Terry... Go twins.
James Verified Member Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 I'd say a little more from column A The Dodgers are gonna win 95+, they are a damn good team, if Maeda is for real and Kazmir stays healthy they won't miss Grienke too muchI expect Maeda to be good. I don't expect him the be Grienke good though. I have a feeling Maeda will wear down over a longer season. Next year might be different for him. But I think Grienke will have a better season this year. It is going to be fun watching Maeda though. I'm not sure that people give Japanese pitchers the credit they deserve. The really good ones that crush the NPB seem to do very well in the MLB.
