ashbury Verified Member Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Welp, it's past this east-coast Twins fan's bedtime. Bring the win home for us, OK? JB_Iowa 1
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 @MillerStrib: One surprise as I looked up sac bunt note: How often Kent Hrbek bunted. 15 career sac bunts! By contrast, Justin Morneau has zero in career.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Welp, it's past this east-coast Twins fan's bedtime. Bring the win home for us, OK? Sleep well! (That would be accumulatin' s-leap seconds, no? And if you don't get enough seconds, go back for thirds)
stringer bell Verified Member Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 The Twins have had almost all of the opportunities in this game, so it is disappointing they are only up 1-0.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 I guess that's one less runner we're likely to strand? Silver linings everywhere, but not a (nother) run to score... USAFChief 1
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Twins determined to make Gibson work for it.
mikecgrimes Verified Member Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 (edited) Looks like that Paul molitor take the extra base thing hasnt worked out. I'm about done conceading molitor is better then gardenhire. Edited July 3, 2015 by mikecgrimes Hosken Bombo Disco 1
Danchat Verified Member Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 For all the talk about Molitor being a base-stealing mastermind, the Twins have been very poor at stealing bases. Why is Hunter running there? Also, Gibson has been fantastic. Maybe he should be in the All-Star game... he's got a good enough ERA for it.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 I doubt the Royals waste an out to advance Dyson. ashbury 1
Cap'n Piranha Verified Member Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 I wonder if the Brewers wish they still had Cain and Escobar and OdorizziI'm gonna guess the Brewers wish a lot of things, primarily that they didn't have to be located in the state of Wisconsin. I know I would. spinowner and Puckett34 2
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 I can't believe it's Fein and Thompson warming up and not Perkins.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 I guess if I'm managing, I let Gibson get Cain, then go to Perkins for Hosmer/Morales.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Why is Hunter running there? Because Mauer. Trying to stay out of the DP... He's so prone to DP ground balls, and now so prone to K's, you're damned if you do, damned if you don't. ScrapTheNickname and Hosken Bombo Disco 2
David HK Verified Member Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Wow- this young man has pitched a WHALE of a game- Ventura's taking a lot of heat in Chicago for leaving guys in to work out of a mess- and he's got a good BP. For us, unless it's Perk, F- 'em. There's nobody out there who's going to pitch better than a tired Gibson. ScrapTheNickname 1
David HK Verified Member Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Heh... left for a workout when we got up 1-0. Thought I'd get away while feeling good. Now I'm back, and still feeling good- unless I see Thompson or one of those stiffs. Go, Gibby, go! Big K!

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 If this (leaving Gibson in to face Hosmer) isn't a cry for LH relief help, I don't know what is. glunn, Hosken Bombo Disco, David HK and 2 others 5

glunn Community Moderator Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 I would not mind an insurance run or three. Or get 5 and bring in Graham. spinowner and JB_Iowa 2

howeda7 Verified Member Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Great outing by Gibby. Cross him off the 'which starter gets demoted' list. (J/K I know he was never on it.) spinowner, glunn and Hosken Bombo Disco 3
