Blake Verified Member Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Yes and No. With KC's bullpen, expect that 6th = 9th inningBeing the fine upstanding and serious person that I am, I will refrain from gloating. neener neener neener. Then again.... glunn 1
David HK Verified Member Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Oops- forgot it's KC's bullpen. Let's beg, borrow, lie, cheat, or steal for a run here. glunn 1
stringer bell Verified Member Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Fantastic job by Gibson, Maybe it's because Gibson is lights out good tonight?Yes, he was but he was well over 100 pitches facing the middle of the order. Very few pitchers get that choice any more in a 1-0 game. USAFChief and glunn 2
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Sano's on. And pinch run for. glunn 1

Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Yes, he was but he was well over 100 pitches facing the middle of the order. Very few pitchers get that choice any more in a 1-0 game. But the bottom line is the job got done. David HK and glunn 2
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 (edited) Sami could have made second if they were just going to sacrifice! Auto correct better learn Sano, I'll be typing it a lot going forward. Edited July 3, 2015 by nicksaviking Hosken Bombo Disco 1
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Fantastic job by Gibson. But if Molitor has any confidence in either of his lefties, Gibson doesn't face Hosmer. Hell, if I was managing, Perkins pitches to him. But I'm glad it worked out. Really glad! David HK and glunn 2

David HK Verified Member Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Clu Haywood to Willie Mays Hayes: "Well, you really knocked the crap out of that one." Congrats to Mr. Sano on his first big-league hit!!!! glunn and ashbury 2
David HK Verified Member Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 A run!!! A RUUUUUNNNN! Sorry, I'm not usually one of those ALL CAPS guys. I just got excited. USAFChief and glunn 2
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Sano could have scored just as easily as Robinson.
spinowner Provisional Member Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Perk will 1-2-3 'em even with the insurance run.

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Sano could have scored just as easily as Robinson. Perhaps. But now as the bottom of the inning comes around, it turns into a defensive substitution... Not to knock Sano's ability to field the DH role... USAFChief, glunn, ashbury and 1 other 4
stringer bell Verified Member Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 The one-out bunt worked! Now don't ever do it again. glunn 1

mickeymental Verified Member Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 twins only scored two ... but that's two more than the defending league champs. nice win. USAFChief, spinowner and glunn 3
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 We won today. You win one tomorrow, that's two in a row. You win the next day...that's called "a winning streak." It's been done. Hosken Bombo Disco, mickeymental, Craig Arko and 5 others 8
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Perhaps. But now as the bottom of the inning comes around, it turns into a defensive substitution...Not to knock Sano's ability to field the DH role...Yeah it was the right call being up a run. I so hate pinch running for your big boppers when they're standing on first in a tie game. Especially with two outs.
