DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Yet another loss wasting a good start by a Twins pitcher. They are a disaster against RHP, the only player to look better under his "reign" of terror is dozier, everyone else has gotten worse or not done anything at all.

Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 One day we blow out the White Sox, Twins fans rejoice. The next day, the Twins score 2 runs, and the fans clamor for the hitting coach to be fired.
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2015 Author Posted June 24, 2015 Obviously the thread is in jest along the lines of some others. On a serious note: the last nine games the twins have faced someone other than Danks they have exactly 14 runs. Just barely above 1.5 a game, that isn't going to cut it.
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2015 Author Posted June 24, 2015 Good to see Dave doesn't do stuff like this just on Wild Xtra.Yes, I think us as Minnesota sports fans (having a franchise in all 4 major sports) should just stay happy about the fact we haven't had a championship series or game appearance in 24 years, and should continue to praise such great FA signings like Thomas "I make Pete Rose look like a smart gambler" Vanek and Ricky "that 40+ million is guaranteed no matter what, right?" Nolasco. We make Cleveland look like a clutch sports city at this point, at least they can give their fans someExcitement over making it to the championship at least. Meanwhile in Minnie USA we are completely satisfied with sweeps in the 2nd round, 12 straight MLB playoff game losses, 6 or 7 year NBA playoff droughts (don't even get me started on the Vikings)

HitInAPinch Verified Member Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Brunansky: Let's just hang the guy And while we're at it, when will some one pull the chain on the box and flush this lineup and bring up everyone from the Lookouts??
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Last time Cleveland was in the world series was in the late 90s. Last time in the SuperBowl was never. They finally made it to the NBA championship to lose. Minnesota has been to 4 SuperBowls (though they lost) and has won two World Series in my lifetime... No, I'd rather be a Minnesota sports fan... and after growing up in Cleveland, the only sports fans there that I feel sorry for are Browns fans.

The 87 series was when I was 1.5 years old, so that doesn't really apply to what I was talking about. Also the Cavs have been to TWO NBA finals in the past ten years, not "just finally made one". also Minnesota has 4 sports teams vs Clevelands 3

Better than the Vikes. Go Pack!
Minniman Verified Member Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 pre AFL/NFL merger Browns won the NFL championship 4 times. Better than the Vikes. Go Pack! The Vikings have one NFL Championship prior to the merger but post Superbowl. If Vikings Superbowl losses count, then so do the two North Stars Stanley Cup Finals. I guess we could add the Minneapolis Lakers Championships too, but those were of another era (like the Cleveland Browns pre Superbowl championships). As far as Brunansky goes, I think he does a good job with some hitters, but he has not produced either high OBP players or high SLG players at this level. What is his WAR as a hitting coach?
