Aaron Hicks is headed to the #MNTwins. "A no-brainer, really," #ROCRedWings manager Mike Quade said.

My understanding is that Schafer has been fighting various nagging injuries for a couple weeks. I imagine they will DL him.  What happens in 15 days is another question.

To me, this is great news. No offense to Schaefer or Robinson.

Let's ride this horse while he is going good. I know some think this is his last chance, but I don't agree with that. The man has talent and the Twins org and his immature ways lead him down a tricky path. I'd like this to be a "let's start fresh" assignment and let bygones be bygones.

This is a different team, different leadership, and Aaron has a guy he can lean on, whom he has great respect for, who can hopefully help him out when times get hard. I still believe in Hicks and the skills he can bring to the table!

Well, so end my increasingly unhinged complaints regarding his AAA tenure.

I'm optimistic. I really like the way he responded to not making the team out of ST. Playing for Molitor instead of Gardy is a huge upgrade that can only help matters.

As I said in the other thread, I want the Twins to do what is best for Aaron Hicks' development. I hope they have guessed right and that he's ready.

it will be interesting to see how Molitor uses him against right handed pitchers. Every day? Will he pick and choose the right hands pitching he see early on?

He spots in Arcia against some lefties that is easier to do with fewer left handed starts. Last year the Twins saw 56 left handed starter (just over 1/3).

This is Aaron's last best chance to click. There isn't a Twins fan anywhere who isn't hoping for anything but the best for him.  Good luck!

Knowing the Twins, it'll be Schafer to the DL, citing one of his recent injuries.

I still like Schafer as a 4th OF, but we already have one in Robinson.

Anyways, it's do or die time for Aaron Hicks. Let's hope this month in AAA was not a mirage.

This will be interesting. He should have more confidence than ever before. If he and Rosario stuck this would be a markedly transformed team. I honestly think Arcia could end up in Rochester

It will almost certainly be Schafer DL or DFA - my money on DL.

It's the right move. At 25, if he's playing well and with confidence, there's no need to wait. Bring him up and see if he's got what it takes. Well done, Terry and Paul.

I can't believe people are seriously saying Rosario should be sent down to make room for Hicks. All Eddie's done so far is homered on first MLB pitch he saw and the proceed to set club record for most games with at least 1 RBI to start his career.

It makes me sad to say it, but I hope Rosario and Hicks play really well and make Arcia the odd man out. His power potential is great, but he is one dimensional.

Hunter will not be traded, I would have to imagine, he has an under the table handshake with TR about trade scenarios. That's okay with me, because I think Hunter is having a positive impact on this team in most scenarios.

I couldn't tell you if it is Molitor, Hunter, Guardado or the rest of the coaching staff, but this team has a different energy and I totally believe in it - you see it, they are playing with a different energy.

This team will have it's hard times of course, but 2015 is the beginning of the new era of Twins Baseball.

We are not sinking anymore - we are rising.

As a Hicks hater, I will be looking for every little mistake.  I hope I am wrong, but Hick's attitude and effort will again doom him to failure.  :)

It shouldn't be do or die.

He has already shown the ability to be a valuable platoon/4th OF. It takes two to platoon and even the short side of the platoon saw 56 starts against lefties last year.

It could be everyday regular or platoon 4th OF.
