The Twins in the coming weeks and days, need other MLB teams to be desperate!

 

Injuries abound, injuries aplently, other teams need to be desperate for Twins' players.

 

I'm convinced this HAS to happen at this point, its just a matter of time, and Who.

 

#1 April 28th

 

After Bartolo Colon goes down for 60 days DL , the Mets with no other options to turn to in their rotation (Wheeler, Syndergaard hurt) other than Sean Gilmartin; ELECT to trade Double A RH Jack Leathersich for RHP Mike Pelfrey of the Twins.

 

#2 Sometime in June

 

The Twins and Brewers strike a deal that sends 3B/1B Trevor Plouffe and RHSP Kyle Gibson to the Brewers for MLB reliever Tyler Thornburg, AA LHP Jed Bradley and High A+ SS Orlando Arcia.

 

#3 July Deadline

 

The Nationals infield situation is dire, they have lost Danny Espinosa for the year to injuries; and Dan Uggla is ineffecient. -(terrible) ..With no body to turn to to fill in for Rendon (Knee) and even Escobar at 2B and Desmond at SS when they need a true rest. They announce a trade constructed by Terry Ryan.

 

3B/SS/LF Eduardo Nunez , RP Casey Fien , and OF Aaron Hicks + a PTBL

 

for

 

OF Michael Taylor (The Twins were rebuffed at trying to add RP Blake Treinen in the deal)

 

#4

 

During the offseason

 

Brian Duensing, Tim Stauffer, Eric Fryer, Boyer , Torii Hunter all leave via FA.

Boyer and Hunter elect to Retire.

 

But the Twins cannot un-do the Nolasco or Ervin Santana deals and are forced to start 2016 with a rotation of:

 

1 Hughes

2 Berrios

3 May

4 Milone

5 Santana / Meyer

 

with Meyer likely being the one sent to the bullpen.

I make it to ballparks so rarely that i've no informed opinion. All i know is the long standing tradition that popcorn does not a full meal make. I do have a soft spot for crab rangoons these days. Have they infiltrated the ballpark menu yet?

 

I do wish to comment on the delicacy of milldaddy35 for leaving the word "wurst" out of a thread about the Twins.

Not sure on the Crab Rangoon but the Pumpkin Brie En Croute is to die for at the ball park in Johnson City Tennessee.
