I watch a YT channel called CloseCallSports.  Lindsay has a series covering every MLB ejection during the season and the rules and reasoning behind each ejection.  This was covered a couple of weeks ago.  The pitcher has to declare prior to EVERY AB if he wants to use the windup if runners are on base.  Sounds like he declared for Buxton, but did not do it for Jeffers, hence the balk.

Has anyone figured out why the Athletics hats just have an A on it and the batting helmets have the A's on it?

When the camera spanned the dugout showing Kotsay and the rest of the team, a thought hit me. Isn't it sad what has happened with this franchise over the past years and now that they are moving to Vegas? The A's were my favorite team in the late 60's and 70's with Campy, Rudi, Hunter, Bando, Monday and who can forget Vida Blue.

Fisher refused to pay for the extra stitching for the hats.

It's "throwback hat" weekend across MLB.

The Athletics batting helmets have the current "A's" logo. 

Their hats feature an old "A," I believe from the KC Athletics days.

Twins are wearing the "M" hats from the WS era.

I miss attending games in Oakland...was in SAC town last year to see them when the Twins were there..which I felt was awesome.. minor league park...just do not see LV as a baseball town.. uugghh

The A was used back in 1968 and 1969. Went to A's in 1970.

Huh. To each their own.

Of the 24 MLB MLB cities I've attended MLB games in, Oakland is easily at the bottom of the list. Absolutely awful stadium in a crappy part of a nondescript city.

 

Worse than Tampa, even.

One of my cousins, sadly passed away now, used to own a restaurant across the street from the ball of twine.

Closed it Long time ago, and still sits empty, but there are two other good eateries in town.

I was in Oakland once to watch the A's. Felt special with the history there, but also very cavernous and dead.
