The matinee rubber match, can we get a little more run support for Prielipp today please! Bullpen has been used pretty heavy, they need to have an efficient day of pitching. Go Twins!!

And anyone actually at the game with the Hello Kitty promotion, let us know if Badtz Maru makes an appearance...

(certainly with only 4 total runs during first two games of the series, bats have not been too prevelent)

RP Cole Sands and SP Conner Prielipp were called up today, SP Mike Paredes sent to the 15 day IL and  RP Jack Anderson was optioned to St Paul.

New way to get Alex Jackson into the lineup! Anything to inject a little life maybe. Bell and Caratini sit today, Buck at DH. Take the series!

Moving pieces all over the place. Jackson at first, Lewis at second, Clemens in right, Keaschall in center. Whatever it takes to get Buxton going, but he hasn’t looked good for a while.

Anecdotally he never seems to hit as well when he's the DH. Hard to be hitting much worse.. a drop in the lineup could be next.

The Twins will be fine today. Kreidler is in the lineup, and it's Sunday.

News tidbit that just came out today.  Lance McCullers was just DFA'd from Milwaukee right after they just traded for him.  Not sure he is worth it, but he is a warm body and that would give a little bit more depth in starting pitching.  Especially since I don't expect the Twins to go get the type of pitcher we need to make a serious stretch run.

LHP with ERA north of 5, tailor made situation for 10+ Ks and limping offense if Twins stay true to their colors. I seriously hope today is an exception

He's a lefty and breathing.  He will need time to get his arm built back up.  Probably make his first start against the Twins when they go out to West Sacramento in late August.

I can't say much about our hitting but the Guards went down to Tampa and got shut out again, twice in a row.

Another game of musical chair 💺 positions....including a new chair in the mix. I am not faulting it, but one never knows who will be playing a position on any day. I guess it all depends on the pitcher being a righty or a lefty. In today's world, the baseball legends.  Ruth, Gehrig, Mantle, ....would be sitting out games..
