Oh my goodness, two in a row? I will be buying myself a lottery ticket as a result! Here’s hoping tomorrow’s game goes just as smoothly!

Save your salted butter for tomorrow  ...

Team effort today,  defense and pitching , offense did just enough for the WIN ....

Dreaming....Rodgers get the win off the back of Paredes. Rodgers recorded one out on 6 pitches.  Something is wrong with this rule.

It's from a long gone era.

I feel like it would be really easy and logical to tweak the rule so that the starter going fewer than 5 doesn't preclude the official scorer from deciding that he was still the most effective pitcher and gets the win

And people still like pitcher wins as a meaningful stat...

In any event, Buxton is a great player and I wish they'd built a real team around him.

Four runs on four hits, including the two homers. Gore has a great arm and he is going to help this Rangers team if he continues to throw like he did today. The relievers that threw today are most of the best they have (maybe Banda is more reliable than Rogers) and they got the job done.

2 runs ain't enough to cover 4 innings with this bullpen... Keep it going!

I think all of us agreed, but hey 4.1 innings of shutout ball. Props to the BP tonight!

Let's shoot for more offense in game 2, need more than 4 hits.

I think it is a bit of a stretch to say that Paredes is the next Johan Santana, but if you want to hop on that bandwagon I won't stop you. 🙂

Gomez was closing - REMEMBER A CLOSER WE HAD NAMED Duran ?  WHO WAS PRETTY GOOD- when i said it   as a JOKE
