Possumlad Verified Member Posted May 18 Posted May 18 Do we know if Buxton & Sands are back today? ESPN shows their "expected return" as today, but not sure how reliable that is.

I think we have to assume Buxton will be back in the next day or two, otherwise they would have put him on the IL on over the weekend when they could've backdated it the full 3 days.
Twins_Fan_in_NJ Verified Member Posted May 18 Posted May 18 Astros are really scuffling right now. Would be nice if the Twins can get a sweep or at the least, win the series.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 18 Posted May 18 I just read that the Astros have the worst worst bullpen ERA. I would have thought either the Twins or Rockies would have that “honor”. It looks like it will be “the battle of the bad bullpens”.

Hope they both take 3 or 4 games to find their groove... Twins_Fan_in_NJ 1

Certainly the batting order doesn't play the same without him in it. Martin does a fine job but he had less success leading off this past weekend.
thelanges5 Verified Member Posted May 18 Posted May 18 What does this mean for SWR? Didn’t give him another start with Bradley still out?
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18 Posted May 18 No Buxton again. The Twins love playing with a 25 man roster... thelanges5 and Patzky 1 1

Patzky Old-Timey Member Posted May 18 Posted May 18 Shewmake and Vazquez! Almost your daddy's Astros. Welcome back to Target Field Christian! Bell back at DH, Buck trending.. but not yet. SWR first in relief, first in lettering, last in ERA.

Chris Hove Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 18 Posted May 18 I'm excited to see Rojas pitch. I know he's wild but the guy has enormous potential, although I think he would be fitted best as our closer but we'll see. Patzky 1

It would be awesome if he eventually became a reliable, inexpensive, late innings guy. Like Varland maybe. Chris Hove 1

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18 Posted May 18 Not a good start. Great stuff isn’t so great if you can’t consistently throw strikes. Hopefully he settles in with the control
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18 Posted May 18 Wow is it chilly out there? Low 90s here I’m dying
