I wonder if Kreidler and Morris have made it across the border at this point. If Kreidler got a good night's sleep, he will probably be in the starting lineup today. Another left hander! What is it, nine out of fifteen games?

Kreidler in the starting lineup at third base and Larnach gets a start against a lefty (Wallner out).

Kreidler at 3B and Lee at SS ... why?  To minimize the one thing Kreidler brings to the table?

Yeah, yeah. The TD faithful have written Lee off as a shortstop. Shelton hasn't. He's the regular shortstop until he isn't and it makes sense if Lee is viewed as an everyday player.

I have my doubts about Lee as well, but giving him more than two weeks to show what he can do is the right thing to do. Same for Wallner, same for any one else that has struggled.

Lee didn't move to SS two weeks ago.  He has shown that likely future is as a utility guy, perhaps as soon as Culpepper is ready to move up.  And (hopefully) Kreidler is going to be in the starting lineup sparingly, so he will still be getting plenty of opportunities at SS.  This move isn't done with the future in mind

This doesn't give them their best chance to win currently, so it isn't done with the present in mind either.  Worst of both worlds.

Bobby Nightengale reporting that Lewis is already feeling better and expects to be on the IL for the minimum (ten days), Nightengale reports that the team was cautious because they had two more games on artificial turf and Lewis' injury was to his lead (plant) leg for his swing.

Valid. Never underestimate the impact of the Sacramento mound on the Twins season last year.

Trying to remember which leg had the ACLs.

my wishfull thinking is - that royce is 90% okay and they dont want him planting that lead leg on the artificial turf and instead of playing short a player give him the 10 days - its early in the year gonna need him healthy-  Rocco would rather play short and never tell us anything ,  so far Derek shelty seems to be alot more explaining to the fans , which is very appreciative , !!

For some reason i was expecting symmetry... But then i might be confusing it with the bilateral leg weakness of a few decades ago.

The Twins need Morris's velocity, hoping he can get up to 98 being in relief.  They have too many relievers that throw about the same speed.

I don't hate the lineup.  I had stated yesterday that Wallner needed a day off and that his bat was becoming worse than Larnach in the field.  I like that Morris was called up.  Possibly a glimpse into the future.  Many of our best pitchers started here as a call up for a reliever.

Two runs should not insurmountable. Twins need 5-7 inningss from Joe Ryan. Toronto has a very good team and presents quite a challenge for Joe.

Ever since Varsho's "inability to catch the ball at Target Field game" he's been a terror against the Twins. Pitch around the guy
