I’m so incredibly optimistic about this Twins team after sweeping the Tigers—it’s great to see them finally show up! It really makes me think we can beat anyone... right up until they decide to hand that same momentum over to the bullpen and turn a "winning season" into an absolute nightmare in the span of one inning.

Man, those were some pretty valuable pitches absorbed by Acton.   If you had told me the Twins were only gonna use one reliever through 8 innings coming into the game with Abel starting, I wouldn't have believed you.  With six games still to go until the next off day, that was a much-needed bullpen reset.

Me too, even while i recall the olden days when @Riverbrian's work was on display.

Ah, those were the game thread intros...

But times move, and as starters rarely finish games, so less is expected elsewhere in the world. Only a matter of time before game thread intros fail the Turing test... I am resigned.

Oh, and we'll see how the bats do tonight - in the past, someone like Corbin was their kryptonite - any by past, I mean last week against Matz!

Lewis, a day off or a more serious cleat twist?

Not at all.

It is just an acknowledgement that a decade ago was different than now. And he suffered his own form of burnout for putting so much effort into them, Just like some pitchers have.

If you care to delve into an archived game threads, you will see.

Thanks so much sorry I'm just stupid and cant process words correctly Ill start to put more effort into them. Maybe that will help the twins do better.

I understand this feeling too. Nothing to apologize for.

Writing is always harder than reading.

Here is an early Riverbrian intro, and you can tell he did something like this for a living, as polished as it is, so he was transferring some hard earned writing chops to a side interest (baseball)

I will say i had my own short stint of trying to carry riverbrian's torch.

This is part of how come i'm so lazy and stick to inane comments like "i hope we win" or "what i miss?"

And i guess contributes to wanting to hear Dr. Demento style music these days to get me in a frame of mind to appreciate baseball. Or something.

Thanks! I might try to polish up my writing with blogging too. Alongside this.

Enjoy watching Woods-Richardson. Has quite a bit in his arsenal and he battles. Love the mindset.

I maintain he's the Sonny Gray of '26.

Per Bobby N:

Royce Lewis had some soreness in his knee today after he tweaked it in Thursday’s game. He’s out of the lineup today and is considered day-to-day, manager Derek Shelton said.

I think you're doing great and appreciate the work you're putting in. It's definitely more than what I'm doing. I'm putting the phrase, "It's the least I can do" into action as a Twins fan over the past few years

I don't know if this matters, but Banda pitched 21 pitches on Wednesday. In no way am I trying to make a big deal about this, but some people might care, but probably not.

They weren't very good pitches and so we are choosing to disregard them .. in hope to avoid a repeat.
