I'm still waiting for the Sox to make life interesting for the rest of the East, and draw comparisons to the miracle Braves... Strange things like that can happen to them after sweeping the Yankees, to a team representing the locales of Stephen King and HP Lovecraft. Bangkok Twins Fan 1

I'm sure there are others. It's hit and miss with a lot of relievers. I do believe Topa is cooked, but I thought the same with Okert and he's done well two straight seasons for the 'Stros. stringer bell Verified Member Posted July 7 Author Posted July 7 Really not sure if this is the right thread for this but, Darrell Jackson died this month. He had a pretty short career all with the Twins in the 70s and early 80s. He had one year where he mostly started and worked over 170 innings for a poor Twins team, finishing 9-9 with a 3.87 ERA. Another former player who is younger than me deceased. Church of Kreidler, RpR, ashbury and 2 others 2 2 1
lecroy24fan Verified Member Posted July 7 Posted July 7 Yeah this is the right thread for players who die. I remeember him vaguely, as I go back to Hrbek's debut in 1981 as far as what I recall seeing/hearing games. Jorge Polanco activated by the Mets.
big dog Verified Member Posted July 15 Posted July 15 Just noticed that former Twin LaMonte Wade Jr. was called up by the Astros. Good luck to him, as long as he doesn't help them win a wild card spot. Bangkok Twins Fan 1
