Is there any truth that Joe Mauer, Justin Morneau and a lead investor named Ray of an Insurance company , or Martty Davis if Cambria are trying to buy the Twins. 1.7 billion gonna need a fairly large group of investors for that price plus assumption of debt. Would be happy to see this franchise in the hands of so e former players and a hometown owner. Would be nice to have hometown owners interested in keeping team here. I hope we sell out the place Target Firld on the day a new owner is announced for Twins. There are baseball fan's here, Just need a reason to get behind this franchise.

Just read an article on Bar Stool Sports, so take it how you want, that the sale is imminent, probably weeks not months. The perspective buyers didn’t want to be responsible for 425 million in debt that came with the buying price. At 1.5-1.7 billion I don’t get it, but if true it explains the dumpster fire at the trading deadline… even though some of the moves didn’t make sense and will make the rebuild more challenging and probably longer to complete. But if true it’s great news! Goodbye Rocco and Falvey and a fresh start to better baseball.

Hopefully just an extra day off or maybe SWR comes in as the  bulk guy?. From Bobby Nightengale:

My guess is it will basically be a bullpen game.  They are still short one starter on the roster.  But it still doesn't make sense if this is a rebuild why is Urena getting innings other than in St. Paul.

More evidence Baldelli isn't the guy to be leading re-build. My guess it is punishment for not seeing coaches on wanting him to move in from left field spot.

Not a big metrics guy, but he was the only position player with a positive WPA last night, so this makes sense....😂😂😂

We get Kiersey instead ,  Martin along with Luke K  who should be here not in st paul  --  At this point anything Rocco does with a line up should be directed to all the young guys -  Julien - kiersey- Gasper -should not even be here ,  Tired of complaining but what other options do fans have ??   Go Twins

$1.5B + $425M is $1.925B. Just under $2B for a franchise generously estimated to have a value of $1.5B. At the Pohlad's asking price it's over $2B.

A 25% overpay on purchase does not allow for much further investment in the business.

Julien & Roden did such a great job last night that they're starting tonight & leading off (I don't know what it is, but Baldelli knows). Martin, you'd better clean up your act (I don't know what it is, but Baldelli knows).

If the new owners take over in a few weeks, I can't wait for them to clean house from Falvey down to all that adheres to him. If they do that, they'll completely change the air of Twins territory tremendously for the better & restore hope. Otherwise, the dark cloud will continue to hang over us & continue to lose attendance.
