BOS DFA'd Nick Burdi and selected Jovani Moran.

I'd give Burdi a shot over some of the slappies we have in the pen. His numbers with Boston were quite good, especially in AAA, and it'd be cool to finally see him as a Twin after he was a hot prospect from around 2015-17.

I didn't realize that the Braves had purchased León's contract and he had only one PA in three weeks. I guess other teams like third catchers as well.

Their other catchers have been alternating between C/DH so it gave them the flexibility. But Acuna was activated today so they need the DH spot for Ozuna now.

Jon Heyman reports that the Cubs have signed Santana. Other reports indicate that Santana asked for release so as to play for a contender.

That’s three NL Central teams Slamtana will have played for, along with three AL Central teams. He has been in demand for a long time. I am glad he will be getting another chance with a contender.

I’ll make my annual statement—as far as I’m concerned, a player isn’t an ex-Twin if he never played in a major league game for the team, so Anderson and IKF are not ex-Twins.

A case could be made for guys who were on the active roster but didn’t play—the three I know of are Tomás Telis, Drew Maggi and Jhonny Pereda.

Fair enough, but I'd still include any player that was in the organization for even a limited amount of time.

I knew someone else had mentioned something like this before.

Willi, a nation turns its lonely eyes to you, woo, woo, woo.🎵

Castro was my favorite Twin. Last 30 games, post-trade, Castro:

.167 .203 .258

in 66 plate appearances.

Small sampling but we never know what mental impact a trade has on a player.

It seems Correa really likes being back in HOU.

Correa has been good, but not crazy good. .290 BA, .342/.413/.755 triple slash. 4 homers and 16 RBI.

He has mood swings. He'll be hot for a few then ice cold for a few.

Recent transactions involving ex-Twins: Billy Hamilton (17 games in 2022, mostly as a PR) signed a minor league deal with the Cubs and Caleb Boushley ( 2 appearances with the Twins last year) was DFA'd by the Rangers.

4 RBI for Kepler today.

5 rbi.   Battng average up to .221, it would be nice to have him in Right Field, although his glove is not what it used to be, but still better than what the Twins have.
