Enns pitched briefly (2 games) for the Twins way back in 2017. Floro and Fulmer were both disappointing trade deadline acquisitions, Fulmer in 2022, Floro in 2023.

Ends started and pitched 5 scoreless inns for the Tigers yesterday.

34 yrs old and makes first start of career after 33 inns total of relief work in MLB.

Matt Bowman was selected by the Orioles for the 4th time this season, so they can only do it one more time after this.

Mets re-signed Richard Lovelady again too.

Is that right? I know there are limits to options, but didn’t know that there are limits to DFAs.

Doosan Bears eye foreign captain as Jake Cave shines with four-hit game

"

Will Doosan Bears have their first foreign captain next season?

Jake Cave started in the 9th game of the season against the NC Dinos in the 2025 Shinhan SOL Bank KBO League on the 29th at Changwon NC Park, batting third as the right fielder. He went 5 for 5 with 4 hits (1 home run), 3 RBIs, and 1 run scored, leading the team to a 7-3 victory and ending their three-game losing streak...."

I'm probably wrong. Happens once in a while.

With the Nationals firing Dave Martinez today (and Mike Rizzo) I wonder if there's a chance Matthew LeCroy gets to finish the season as manager?

Bench coach gets the interim tag but I’ve got to imagine LeCroy moved up the chain of command

Might prefer to keep him in Rochester too. He's been in their org for years.

Amazing. He was absolutely cooked pitching for us 2 years ago. Left handed and breathing continues to win out in MLB

Speaking of left handed and breathing, the Twins DFA'd Joey Wentz today. I am willing to bet that Joey will get chances with other teams this year and beyond.

His first game with Atlanta- 3 IP, 0 H, 1 BB, 6 K

I'll take the over on WHIP for the rest of his season, if anyone wants to bet.

The law of averages. He was so awful with the Twins it would only stand to reason that he would become Cy Young once he left.

I won't take that bet.

Old friend Kyle Gibson announced his retirement. 37 years old 13 years in the league

Per The Athletic: "Max Scherzer is the only MLB pitcher to make more starts (329) than Gibson (328) since 2013, and Gibson also logged the seventh-most innings among all pitchers during that time."

Congratulations, Kyle! 112-111 lifetime record, pitching mostly for weak Twins teams, $70 million in earnings.

And in yesterday's game, he started, pitched 4 innings, gave up 2 hits and no runs. What went wrong with his time with us? Granted, he looked awful during his short time with the  Twins, but Atlanta seems to have unlocked his potential.
