2 bad innings over 3 days pitching wise and instead of looking for a 4 game sweep, we are looking to break even today.  Kick in the you know whats either wakes up the team moving forward or was final nail initiated in the coffin.  Hoping for the wake up call though.

The reality is that you can only absorb so many losses like the two in this series before your ability to mentally overcome them kicks in. You begin to think 'how can we ever win a baseball game again' so you play not to lose instead of going out and kicking butt. Whats going to go wrong tonite? Pro sports can mess with your mind.

Right now, Detroit is playing like they know they can't lose...and they go out and win games. The Yankees have suddenly figured it out, with a bunch of extra inning and one run wins; while the Orioles have gone into a real dark place and they look like they don't even care anymore. If the Twins lose today and fall out of playoff spot, their recovery will be unlikely. Perhaps the fact that KC is also in the tank right now might help. But you have to be able to win. And Twins clearly can;t seem to climb that mountain.

Its unfortunate that a guy who has produced some big hits along the way could rightly be called the 'culprit' last night. His AB's resulted in leaving 9 on base; the worst being the crushing DP that ended the 10th and killed what should have been an insurmountable Twins lead. Team psyche...its all messed up.

Well...on to another day; another game; and low expectations.

Santana was so successful as the clean up hitter last night, why not try again.  We have a long season ahead of us.

So how's it going to get kicked away today?  4 errors?  A late baserunning blunder?  Which relief pitcher serves up the killer gopher ball?  Or will it be another typical afternoon getaway game where they sleepwalk through ABs and the on-fumes SWR struggles to get through 5?

As you can tell, my faith in this team has gone with them down the toilet.

As a Right handed  batter he has done much better,  but  he should never be hitting higher than 6th, even with the challenges of our hitters,

I'm pretty pleasantly surprised at how good Correa has looked at the plate despite no rehab assignment.

Santana's glove is platinum caliber this season but he desperately needs a day or two off. Instead of that though, it's Correa, Buck, and Lewis that are getting the orange slice and juice box days. Managerial malpractice.
