The Mets new man, Stearns, really did a great job bringing in SP. He hit on every single one. It's very obviously easier with 260M budget instead of 125M but the Mets have an owner that loves the Mets and is willing to lose money in order to build a winning franchise, and the GM is a childhood Mets fan. 

No organization has better improved their position the the last 5 years than the Mets. It's really something to see. 

Effectively the same Mets team is going to be taking the field in 2025, minus Pete but adding Senga, and their payroll will have dropped like $150 Million. And I don't think anyone expects big buck Steve not to add.

They'll need Irvin to finish the 5th and take the 6th - then you could possibly have Sands, Jax and Duran - but I'm skeptical that we see Duran - so Irvin might need to go into the 7th.
