Duran cannot miss bats these days. Lots of contact, in every at bat. At least games at this time of the year don't matter much. cmoss84 and h2oface 2

It doesn't matter which way the hitters hit, I'd rather see Jax in a game situation. Oh, I didn't say I'd rather see Thielbar. Just surprised. With 2 outs, it was a classic LOOGY scenario.

He's trusted to pitch deeper into close games than any other starter on the staff. It's fluky that López only struck out three, but he was dominant tonight, limited hard contact, walked no one and allowed no runs. Next year he'll be paid like an ace. Twins_Fan_in_NJ 1
mnfireman Verified Member Posted August 31, 2024 Posted August 31, 2024 Let me get this straight, a MLB game in 2024 with 0 HR, 11 hits, 5 BB, sac bunts and sac fly's, and 10 K. Front offices in every MLB city are beside themselves...
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2024 Posted August 31, 2024 Speaking of ace's, Sale is leading MLB in Ks, ERA, and wins, currently (albeit tied in all three categories at the time I write this). Who is the last pitcher to win the MLB triple crown, and lead the majors in all three categories for a full season (60 game 2020 does not count), and what year?

(But then, Margot might be the most trusted pinch hitter on the team, and how is that going) Lots of staff aces in the show then, I guess (30 is a lot), and with that caveat, every team has one, and some couldn't be even a #2 starter on some teams. An MLB ace is what fans really want.... or at least that is what I consider an "ace" in the show. But to each their own. I think I remember you writing that you have the yellow jersey. Do your have both colors, now? Great marketing, to change the color - $$$$$. PT Barnum would be proud. wabene 1
