UpstateNewYorker Verified Member Posted August 28, 2024 Posted August 28, 2024 Royce is overdue. He's 3 for his last 20 with 7 Ks.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2024 Posted August 28, 2024 One swing from glory with Lewis coming up!

Whatever magic they conjured up in mid-season now seems to be largely gone. Keep this up much longer, then they won't need to worry about who's available for the playoffs, because they won't even get that far. Blyleven2011 and h2oface 1 1
tony&rodney Verified Member Posted August 28, 2024 Posted August 28, 2024 So here we are in the same situation (close) as Atlanta faced - runners on and two outs versus a reliever when starter was lifted. What can Lewis do?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2024 Posted August 28, 2024 Omg I thought that was gone and it wasn’t particularly close

tony&rodney Verified Member Posted August 28, 2024 Posted August 28, 2024 Yikes. Four at bats left in this game, right?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 28, 2024 Posted August 28, 2024 Smalley, on 0-2: "He'll be looking at a fastball, or a slider. Or a change up." ... I guess that kind of analysis is why Roy gets the big bucks to be on TV. Aggies7, mrtwinsfan and h2oface 3
jaimedude Verified Member Posted August 28, 2024 Posted August 28, 2024 Gross again. So many strike-out's with runner's scoring position. Been problem all year that coaches have not addressed.

I find most of the time, it is more fun to watch games that the Twins aren't playing in, as you can relax, no tension, and enjoy the game. Something you, especially, might try. Probably good for your health. Mental health, for sure.
LA Vikes Fan Verified Member Posted August 28, 2024 Posted August 28, 2024 The worst thing that could happen to this team has happened; Lewis has stopped hitting. Without him, Correa and Buxton, we are reliant on Wallner and . . . a bunch of inconsistent hitters. The wheels are coming off, gasoline is spilling onto the track, the engine is smoking, and we are going down.... Only chance is some kind of ignition or a hot streak from someone else. Oh wait, Miranda isn't playing today... Aggies7 1

Irishman Verified Member Posted August 28, 2024 Posted August 28, 2024 ATL has 4 runs and 4 hits. MIN has 0 run and 5 hits. Does they know how to do RISP?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2024 Posted August 28, 2024 I thought buxton was close to coming back when he couldn’t get on the field for a workout because of some concert here
