The runner who could have slid between Vazquez legs actually stopped, maybe looking for a blocking the plate call.

The Twins have been screwed on those in the past.

Well, unfortunate that two soft contact balls fell in. Two stolen bases also hurt. The Tigers have been aggressive and I think that is preferable to waiting for a homer.

99.9% on Vazquez, with 0.01 chance Eddy told him in practice that he would be throwing at his head on a play at the plate.  Vazquez still has to make that play.
