Hopefully they get more wins than I predict but worried about injuries derailing our season.  Thin on starting pitching depth and bullpen starts with a couple of injuries.   Hopefully Buxton can play a complete season.

I am concerned as well. The offense will need to carry the team this season. Maybe this is the year the pitching pipeline overflows with good prospects but that seems to be a pipe dream at this point. This feels like a classic 85 ish win team.

I like the team. I would like it a lot better with another upper rotation starter or even a Clevinger. I’m predicting 87 wins a division flag and 3 seed in the playoffs. We will be different than last year in that the lineup will carry more of the load - I am predicting a couple of injuries to starters that exposes our lack of depth and holds the win total down.

I also think the Twins are going to win the division. Cleveland year 1 after Tito will be a very disappointing/selling club. White Sox are a bottom 5 team in MLB. Detroit and KC could start out hot like the 2015 Twins, but they’re not ready for prime time.

I'm sorry to say that I've pegged them as a 78-win team.  I had much higher hopes than that after Duran polished off the Blue Jays last October 4, but every little drip-drip-drip of news since then has lowered my expectations.  Please, Twins, exceed them and make me look foolish!  I would enjoy another trip to watch the playoffs, if it happens.

79 wins would have won the division last year…so maybe there should be another category: 80-85 wins, WIN division title.

I have us at about 85 wins, and squeaking out an ALC title.

Concur.

Need more poll options.

85 wins, but that's enough to win the AL Central.

I have a feeling , April for Minnesota will be just as important as September.

A collapse in either is game over.

@wsnydes is the official book keeper of wins total bets. If you’re wrong, he knows it. If you’re right, he may or may not know it.

If you're wrong, I'm collecting.  If right, I can't find my notes...

I've got them at 84-86 wins and a division title held onto despite losing 2 of 3 in their season ending series against Baltimore because the Sox sneak out a win against Detroit in game 162 to give the Twins the division by 1 game. Then they win 1 playoff game and hit the links for the winter.

I think they will just barely eke out an above .500 record and lose the division to either the Tigers or Royals. We have one starting pitcher with an established track record of 'consistently good'

88-74, win division, #3 seed in playoffs. I see them winning the first round of the playoffs and being competitive in round 2 but ultimately losing in the ALDS,  probably to the Yankees. By midseason Margot, Kepler, and Santana are traded or hurt, replaced by Miranda, Larnach, and Martin,  as the Twins lean into a youth movement since the rest of the division does very little to challenge them. Varland is in the bullpen by July as the #2 closer, replaced in the rotation by a combination of SWR, a replacement level veteran or two like Odo or Vince Vasquez, and Festa. Detroit comes on in the second half to provide some competition but ultimately wins 82-83 games. Division much more competitive in 2025 with Detroit an 85-90 win team and KC improving to .500.
