USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 Useless Kepler has reappeared just in time.
tony&rodney Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 The Twins are now swing happy.
CoastiePilot08 Verified Member Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 Twins had the chances to rough up Verlander and couldn’t figure it out. here we are.

I'm not thinking a leadoff walk to start the game and a ringing double plus a long at bat before striking out sounds rough. That last at bat was brutal. Can’t make the base running mistake either. Cannot in that scenario.

He has not been good in the postseason, pretty much ever from my recollection. And it feels like almost all of his PAs are uncompetitive. Parfigliano 1

IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 Could be a crucial at bat on Kirilloff’s part. Particularly if Correa can use up a few pitches and get Verlander well into the 90s. Would be nice to get at least a couple runs and force them to use a higher-leverage reliever. glunn 1
howeda7 Verified Member Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 Not that it matters, but this ump is screwing us. glunn 1
Parfigliano Verified Member Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 Ball called strike 3...again glunn 1
glunn Community Moderator Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 Another terrible strike call by the home plate ump in a crucial situation.

tony&rodney Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 Verlander doesn't need any help. That is two egregious calls for strike three from an umpire who has a good strike zone.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 Awful strike call. glunn 1
HokieRif Verified Member Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 Two horrible called strike 3 calls to screw us in back to back innings glunn 1
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 This season has completely flipped me over to robo umps. I’m soooooo tired of watching these calls night in, night out. I don’t care if it’s full ABS or challenge but this needs to change. Parfigliano, rwilfong86 and glunn 3

tony&rodney Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 The approach by Kirilloff and Correa went back to patience which is what is needed. It is exactly what the Astros are better at than any team in baseball. Hopefully we do not see poor calls make a big difference in any outcome in this series. glunn 1
insagt1 Verified Member Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 lousy call on CC. But, the line between optimism and realism is not blurred in this game. Twins hitters don't look very good and Verlander is showing us why only Andy Pettitte has more post season wins. Not a good formula for the good guys today. Last hope is maybe Twins can get to their bullpen. 5 runs is a lot though. glunn 1

BomboRivera1 Verified Member Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 I can't believe I'm saying this after a lifetime of hating the Yankees, but I might now hate the Astro-isks more. It's almost more than I can take to see them taking the Yankees place as perennial Twins killers. We must come back and win this series. We must. glunn and wabene 2
