He did it again. Kiriloff has been pathetic since his recall except for a couple of balls to left field.

Swings at too many —it pitches. For a guy that’s reported to be a true student of the art of hitting…seems he never has a play. Big difference between aggressive approach where you go after the first good pitch you see, and going after any pitch close to the zone. He does way too much of the latter.

How and why do players today feel so much more fragile than they did 50-60 years ago? Players actually had to take part time jobs back then to pay their bills…. athletes today are supposed to be so much better specimens?🤷‍♂️ always get hurt on routine plays?

I guess they are more thoroughbreds now but so, so fragile

Should he just rub some dirt on it and play on?

It does seem that way but the harder one works-out to stay in shape, the sooner the body may wear out from over use.

Ridiculous take.

Ridiculous take.

So you don’t think players get hurt more often/easier now?

The statement was not that “they’re soft” or “really not injured”…simply that they seem to get hurt easier or more often on seemingly harmless plays.

I don’t think it’s a ridiculous take at all.

You said some thing they do not like, so they diss you. without backing up their claim.

Stop it.

Buxton was weighing down the offense with a total lack of production. Lewis has been the catalyst to the team’s offensive resurgence over the second half.

Its not the same

Lewis is pure offense.  Buxton provides nothing O or D.

A lot less information was provided "back in the day". We can't say that players get hurt easier now. Used to be that knee injuries and arm injuries were career ending

Have any evidence to back this up? And yes, it's a their soft take. And insulting to them.

If you say so .

If wallner or Julien make an error in the field, and it doesn't lead to any damage even if they were 4-4 at the plate. Your response would be along the line of how terrible they are and the Twins can't play youngsters. I don't have any stats, but I'd wager that Lewis has affected more games than Buxton has this season. And now pointing out how he's done nothing today. Ludicrous

Not the way I read it. And I think the are ramifications for how modern athletes train. It’s debatable, but a legit topic, IMO.

The way I see it, players are definitely handled more lightly than they used to be. Whether it be scheduled off days aka “load management” or inning/pitch count limits for pitchers. One would think that those things would reduce the number of days lost to injury, but at the very least, players don’t seem to be getting hurt less often than they used to.

That being said, Royce tried to stay in the game when it didn’t look like he should have.
