I haven't been following his trajectory (as much as i shoulda) since we lost him due to rule V. Naw, let em go. Remember them fondly when they come to town. If the transaction was truly horrible you won't be able to avoid hearing about that player. Otherwise just wait for the daily/weekly TD article lamentations about standard baseball moves. In Baddoo news, he looks horrible in the outfield.

How about my $6000 against your $`100? Yes......very good one (seriously), I forgot they won the first one. I'm a doofus. Part of me wants to take the bet anyway because I can't admit when I'm wrong. My frustration on losing the series stands. mrtwinsfan 1

wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted August 10, 2023 Author Posted August 10, 2023 Lorenzen tossed a no-no in his home debut with the Phillies. I guess that's one way to get on their fans good side. Took only 124 pitches.
Blyleven2011 Verified Member Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 I see a pattern with this Twins team .... The Twins get swept. By royals , win series against a better ten , the cardinals , sweep even a better team the snake and are in jeopardy of losing this series ... It seems we play better against better teams than the teams below 500 .... Does that mean we have a chance in the playoffs ... My hope has just risen ....

IndyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 AARGH. I'm not overly confident about our ability to score at least 3 runs in the next 2 innings. Except for the 3 runs in the 2nd, we've pretty much done squat offensively since the 4th inning of game 1. I hope we're not entering one of those kind of streaks again. Blyleven2011 1

IndyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 I know it's a hypothetical question, but why do we generally seem to have such a difficult time against some of the dregs of the AL? Especially when most of our counterparts don't.
William K Johnson Verified Member Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 Detroit is better at every aspect of the game. They picked Holton up off waivers and here we are in desperate need of a left hander in the bullpen. IndyTwinsFan 1

We desperately need someone to light a spark under this team and/or not be afraid to kick some significant behind in the clubhouse. Right now, we clearly don't possess any of that.
