Why why why do you pinch hit for Wallner????  just another example of overmanaging due to analytics!!!  So you lose your backup catcher, and you weaken the defense if we do not score. his AB would have most likely not ended the game anyways. the onyl thing that ends the game there is an XBH, nto a walk, not a single, not a HBP, not an out and possibyl not even a "soft" double. So you will still need to rely on anotehr AB to win the game.

I am not saying Wallner would have gotten a hit, but he has had good ABs today, and even if he gets out the game still continues!!!  (just like what happened with Vasquez).

IF the runner was on 2nd and a simple single would have won it.  OK I can see that.

the reason you dont pinch hit your backup catcher in that situation darn near came to fruition with Jeffers taking that ball to the face.

just BAD BAD BAD managing.  Let Wallner get an AB. keep your RH back up catcher for a more impactful AB.

You mean like to break up 3 lefties in a row there?

I’m not sure how long we want to mess with the Vazquez Julien right side.  Also surprised Jeffers didn’t get 1B.

When they’ve been in this spot earlier, I think Vazquez has always gotten 1B.

Give Wallner the AB and show confidence in him.  Gotta be frustrating for the young players to see that Buxton can stink, K over and over, and DH everyday.

Pagan is gradually working his way up in the World Series Parade motorcade.  He's in the front seat in the 3rd car.

Is he getting traded to Atlanta?

Gallo had to do that bunt on his own right ?????

Had to have been. I am sure no one is talking to him by this time.
