Rocco has not once played a catcher the day after a night game this but chose to do with Vazquez when Jeffers has been on a heater.  Yes, Jeffers went 0 for 3 Monday but 2 of 3 outs were over 100mph batted balls.

Pitcher's choice, Vazquez has caught all of Maeda's starts this year.

That's pretty harsh................But true!!!!!!!!!!!

Twins fans are pretty forgiving and tolerate a lot of poor performances.  But if Buxton thinks, he can still strut around the Twin Cities and be a fan favorite for the next nine years,, he should really think of renting some groupies.

was thinking the same. There are plenty of candidates for 'worst hitter'..I would put Gallo first on that list. Then Kepler. The booth is making it sound like just 'bad luck'. Maybe..but Twins are so screwed up at the plate, its hard to blame luck of any kind.

Kepler leads off..out. Gallo--does he even have a clue where to swing the bat when he's up there? Another 'k'. No where near making contact. Quick inning. Ho hum. Orioles next. Anyone believe Twins will have an easy time with them?

Gallo might be the worst hitter on the team, but he has scored 2 of the 3 runs against the Braves this year.

Buxton is useless.  He cant play D.  He cant hit.  His alleged speed is useless because he cant get on base.

Id compare him to an anchor but anchor's provide a needed positive function for a boat.  Buxton provides nothing positive.

I wouldn't go THAT far, but he's closer to useless than he is to being indispensable. Right now, he's basically a late inning PH if we're one swing away from winning (and we are out of any other viable HR threat), or he could be a pinch runner when we need a base desperately stolen.

Our pitching has been strange this series. HR's did us in game one late.  5 HR's in first 2 innings yesterday so Braves had a huge lead early. that they didn't score again wasn't really necessary. So our pen looked good. Today the pitching was terrific (and oops just gave up a solo HR as I type) but our offense was totally out to lunch.

Would be surprised if the Twins win a game against the Orioles.

With the way we're playing I'll be surprised if we score at all in the series.

The offense has been out to lunch all season. Writing was on the wall as early as opening day when they made Grienke look like it 15 years ago.

Buck's AB was pathetic. Swung at 2 pitches way out of the zone. think he went up just saying, 'I'm going to swing at anything no matter where it is.'

I'd like to know what kind of "supplements" Dick and Glen have to eat in the booth to keep this positive attitude going all game/series long.

I wouldn't PH Buxton where I needed a HR or a hit or even contact to score a run..  I would if its the 9th and the team is down 7

A nothing game. A nothing series. 31 games where they have scored 2 or less. A lineup full of guys who just can't hit the ball.

Buxton was out with back spasms, right? So Rocco had him PH in consecutive games. If you really are dealing with a back injury, can't think of anything worse than sitting on a bench all game long and then coming in cold to take gigantic swings (and misses). It's just further proof that neither the Twins nor Buxton have any sort of clue. This franchise completely ruined him.

So tired of the Twins' TV broadcast and whether its Perkins or Morneau spoon feeding this ridiculous narrative that the Twins are always facing a CY Young candidate and terribly bad luck. Call it like it is.

all 2? Really?

All 6. Some pitchers are more comfortable with a certain catcher, just ask Tim McCarver.

Kremer, Bradish and Irvin in Baltimore.

Guessing the Twins go for 33 strike outs and 5 runs in the 3 games.

I'll take the over on the Ks, and the under on the runs.
