So tired of the Twins' TV broadcast and whether its Perkins or Morneau spoon feeding this ridiculous narrative that the Twins are always facing a CY Young candidate and terribly bad luck. Call it like it is.

Cant say those words during TV broadcast.

Friends, I'm going to go on the IL for a few days. I need to forget about Twins baseball, unless or until, this train wreck turns around.

Everyone replies, "Hi tarheeltwinsfan, we're glad to have you here. Thanks for sharing with us today."

Only a win against KC tonight stands between Cleveland and the top of the ALC.

Wonder how different the standings would look if the Twins and Guardians traded managers...

Yep...Tito would sure be nice. Snitker is also a great manager. There are some real good ones out there. Younger isn't necessarily better. We need an "old school" type baseball manager, that has common sense, intelligence, can use analytics but doesn't let them make every damn decision, knows fundamentals and how important they are in baseball, knows what to do in game situations and can adapt quickly and easily, and knows how to handle a pitching staff. I'm asking for too much and I'm probably leaving out several things, but you get my drift. I'd even kill to have Gardy back.

Hey TF in NJ...where are you in NJ? I was born there and lived there until 1982. I lived in several places in NJ, but primarily in Montclair and Hackettstown.

Know the Montclair area well. My wife was born and raised a few towns over. I'm in Freehold - which is about an hour south of Montclair. Born in Freehold in 1978 and never left - save for four years in college down in VA.

I've got you by a few years. I know Freehold pretty well too. We had a place near the shore in Bricktown. We'd drive thru Freehold all the time on good old Rte 9. Do you remember the Freehold Circle? I believe it's long gone now. A real death trap! Used to go to bet the trotters at Freehold Raceway too.

Oh, I remember it well! My oldest sister had a nasty accident there (she's fine, totally unharmed) in the early 80's. It's been gone for years and years. I currently live about 5 minutes from the Raceway and it's still a hot spot for the trotters.

People here in Mn think the small "round-a-bouts" we have here are dangerous. I laugh at them and tell them about the Freehold Circle. They can't believe there was actually something like that! Glad your sis was ok...she was lucky. A lot of people weren't. It's good to have another NJ guy here. I've been in Mn for over 40 years, but I was born in NJ and grew up there...as a die hard Mets fan! All Twins now.

We still have a few of those circles in the area, especially as you get closer to the shore. Just mind boggling that they exist when you consider how dangerous they are!

Absolutely good to know there's a fellow New Jerseyean here :) Been a fan since 1986 when I got to see Kirby play against the Yanks. Been a long road but 1987 and 1991 make it worth it so many years later.

I was here for both WS Championships. That was a LONG time ago. I don't think I'm going to be around for another one, but who knows? The way things are trending now, I have my doubts.

Still have my New Jerse roots (Bergen County).  We don’t have too many traffic circles in that area; good thing since I hate them. I began following the Twins from NJ as a kid in 1967!

Good stuff - being a Twins' fan in NJ isn't always easy!

Pitcher's choice, Vazquez has caught all of Maeda's starts this year.

Disagree on Pitchers choice.  The catchers have caught all of them,  If that is the logic, then Jeffers should have caught Ryan since they were fantastic in complete game vs Tigers. Yes, the tigers I get it but you still have to execute.  Ryan was overflowing with praise on Jeffers during post game on him calling the game.

Looking at the splits, maybe Ryan should lobby for Jeffers to catch him more often:

w/Jeffers - 2.03 ERA, slash-line against .207/.243/.286 (.530 OPS)

w/Vazquez - 5.54 ERA, slash-line against ..233/.260/.480 (.740 OPS)
