Twins better start Hitting, Not thrilled seeing Correa and Byron back to back again, of all the goofy lineups this year, thats the one constant having cc and buck always together,  Not working tonight AGAIN , Wonder what Roccos Logic is with that ?

Switching over to the US Open for a bit. The game is too depressing.

Better hurry the US closes at 9.

He's probably batting them in their current positions because they're two of the highest-paid players on the team.

I'm not saying that I agree with it but that's probably the reason.

What are the odds that Rocco is still managing this team at the end of the regular season?

100%. I can't imagine they would fire him before then.

I hope Rocco lets Ryan go 7. If Julien makes that play, he's letting Ryan continue to pitch and he will have pitched the exact same within what he can control. He's pounding the strike zone and getting a little beat today with his control a little bit off.

We're down anyways.

Unfortunately...100%.

I love Kirilloff's approach and it's clear that he's taken a step forward from his aggressive minor league days and he wants to show that off. The guy spits at balls right on the edge of the strike zone (to his detriment). I do think he could benefit from some selective aggressiveness earlier in counts where he tries to pull some balls or at least hit it hard if it's a fastball in the zone.

I think with his hit tool he's making it a little harder for himself largely keeping the bat on the shoulder until he gets two strikes. It honestly looks like he's cloned Mauer, at least the version of Mauer after that 28 HR season and when he was at 1B.

Anyone else think Rocco lost the team last night? Everybody's body language is not good...at all...

I know I'm prone to over-reacting, but this is bad.

Spot on ,  Call me a old timer I always thought winning was more important than Pampering Certain  Players,

Buxton is also a killer as a DH. If he was providing low avg. pop with okay obp skills with his defense in Center that's completely fine. He blocks guys like Julien from being able to be more full time DH players and having to put them in the field as much.

Julien's bat is really good, but his defense has created I think at least 3 big innings so far with extra outs.

that fact has not escaped me either...Gray has to be fuming!  Ryan's been throwing way more meatballs tonight than Gray was yesterday...
