One solo home run at a time…

It all looks the same in the box score???

Not off to a real good start tonight. C'mon Twins...get it in gear!

Be lucky to score 2 runs probably

I mean, maybe let the game settle in a bit before jumping off the cliff, no?  Lots of game left.

What will it take to convince ya? 5 runs?

Or is 5 right out?

I hope I'm wrong, but here's another way to state it.

I believe it's highly unlikely, although by no means out of the realm of possibility, that we end up scoring 3 or fewer runs tonight.

That's based largely on the offensive ineptitude we've seen from this team most of this season.

Have you watched these guys hit this year?

I have.  Have you?  They are capable of scoring runs.  Yeah, it's feast or famine, but you don't know which you're going to get before they even come to the plate.

Was it the 66 WS? Orioles and Dodgers. I believe LA only scored like 2 runs the whole series.

66 Orioles beat the Dodgers in 4 straight. I think both Robinsons homered in the 1st inning.  They scored 3 runs in the 1st. I think the Dodgers only runs came in that 5-2 loss. If that's not it I'm clueless

CRF and Schmoeman5 win tonight's trivia!! Well done!!!

Baltimore put up 3 in the 1st on the way to a 5-2 win, then threw 3 straight shutouts at the Dodgers.

Unfortunately the fabulous prize was only available over the lost weekend in LA

I was at the game yesterday and watch the “offense” in person.

If not for the handful of blowouts, they’d be at the bottom of most categories.

Too late.

And where would they be without those shutouts?  Cherry picking isn't productive.

They could score 4 runs, but I think SF adds on. So in the end it will still be an uphill climb to get back in this game

Haha. When the conversation came up about the Orioles of the 60s and 70s I was going to comment that out of all those teams, they had only won 1 WS  1970 after losing to the Mets and Pirates in 69 and 71. I didn't think about the 66 team because Weaver wasn't the manager then.

Fully concur.

And burn the whole bullpen tonight.

Especially with a team that has such a hard time scoring. Keep him in, let him take his knocks.  Good learning experience.

Not sure why some of you even bother watching if you know the outcome before the game even starts.

I'll direct you to the top of the page and @Squirrels banner.

Because no Minnesota team has won any kind of championship since 1991.

I want the twins to win a WS. As constructed, do you see this team getting close to that goal?

It’s not cherry picking dude. It’s the reality. This is not a good offensive team and the stats are propped up by a handful of explosive games.
