Game Thread: Giants (Brebbia) v Twins (Ober), 5/22 @ 6:40pm CT

Message added by Squirrel,

Just a reminder: game threads are not a dumping ground for drive by name calling and/or over-the-top negativity.

I'm actually going to criticize Rocco. If you were worried about Manea coming in after the opener, stack the rightys from the get go. Then, hey, later on you got some leftys to face all the right handed pitchers in the pen.

Careful they’re actually not that bad. Despise is a negative word.

They are that bad. They’re the #1 reason why I barely watch them these days. I’ll probably have to stop for a couple of weeks again because it’s the same thing different day.

And on top of everything, it’s just boring a** baseball to watch. People generally are sick of watching abysmal AB after abysmal AB.

Five years in and Rocco has averaged 85 wins a season in the worst division in baseball. Certainly cause for a contract extension. Plus zero payoff game wins.

Well, Gardy averaged 82 wins a year and TK averaged 71 wins a year. Pick your Demi-Gods carefully...

He's ill. Not even on the bench tonight. Which makes Roccos early moves even more dubious

Finally an explanation I can understand.

Interesting that Castro and Solano are in the lineup but Larnach is not. I understand Castro is hot, but Solano, not so much. although both are warmer than Larnach looking at the stats over the last 15 games.  Maybe Larnach goes back to AAA when Kepler is ready.

What stats are you looking at? Solano and Castro have better numbers than Larnach over the past 15 games? 1st off Larnach was recalled when Kepler went down. Since then he's homered twice and tripled and driven in 8. And on top of that he played the whole West Coast trip ill.  They tested him for Covid on their return. Waiting for results. That's why he's unavailable for Mondays game
