Brooks Robinson, Frank Robinson, Boog Powell, Paul Blair, Mark Belanger, Dave Johnson, Elrod Hendricks...and the pitching staffs with Jim Palmer, Mike Cuellar, Dave McNally...I'm sure I'm forgetting a whole bunch of guys. Those were some great teams. Also the subject of the greatest bar trivia question ever: What team scored more runs in the first inning of World Series game 1 than their opponent scored in the entire World Series?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 21, 2023 Author Posted May 21, 2023 It seems like Ohtani may not make it deep in the game. Throwing a lot of pitches. That would be good for us.

stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 21, 2023 Posted May 21, 2023 Missed strike three on the 1-2 pitch.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 21, 2023 Posted May 21, 2023 The missed strike three comes back to haunt.
rwilfong86 Verified Member Posted May 21, 2023 Posted May 21, 2023 So it begins. A missed strike 3 has turned into 2 on nobody out.
lecroy24fan Verified Member Posted May 21, 2023 Posted May 21, 2023 I'm cool with Willi as the backup CF for a bit.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted May 21, 2023 Posted May 21, 2023 I don't understand why a trip to the mound doesn't happen, to try and slow down the other's team momentum.

h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2023 Posted May 21, 2023 Batting practice inning for Lopez. Lots of hard hit balls. But minor damage.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 21, 2023 Posted May 21, 2023 Take the lead back and make Ohtani work!!
CRF Verified Member Posted May 21, 2023 Posted May 21, 2023 The PGA club pro, Mike Block just made an ace at #15! Just jarred it! What a story!!!
wabene Verified Member Posted May 21, 2023 Posted May 21, 2023 It's hard to trust that Kirilloff is really gonna be healthy, knock on wood. If he's healthy, the kid can play no doubt.
rwilfong86 Verified Member Posted May 21, 2023 Posted May 21, 2023 I wish the Twins had a 3rd baseman like Gio Urshela
cHawk Community Moderator Posted May 21, 2023 Posted May 21, 2023 I just love grounding into double plays.
wabene Verified Member Posted May 21, 2023 Posted May 21, 2023 This is not what Donnie Barrels was signed for, facing a tough righty

I stand by my statement that if he is healthy Alex Kirilloff's floor is Will Clark defense and Mark Grace offense and his ceiling is Will Clark offense and Mark Grace defense.

Don’t get me wrong, I liked Urshela on the team last year, I just think our options are better now
cHawk Community Moderator Posted May 21, 2023 Posted May 21, 2023 If anyone were to guess the Twins’ total team wRC+ with runners on base, what would it be?

So, does that make him a scaled down version of Paul Goldschmidt?

Gotta like Farmer as well, a couple of class acts
cHawk Community Moderator Posted May 21, 2023 Posted May 21, 2023 67 pitches through 4 innings is more than I like.
wabene Verified Member Posted May 21, 2023 Posted May 21, 2023 Jeffers was on it, that jump was lights out
