The remote is getting a workout today...between the Twins game and the PGA tourney. It's a real struggle.

Anyone see Guerrero of the Jays, give that kid in the stands a bat during the game?  Quite a gesture.  That kid will never forget that!

Read about it. Young cancer survivor. Heartwarming gesture for sure.

Mind if I ask...what are you putting in?

The 2 tomato plants are Early Girl and Cherokee Purple. Then I have rows of white onion, carrots, peas, romaine lettuce, and radishes.

Is anyone worried that we are going to hear Buxton is out indefinitely?   Got a pit in my stomach feeling.

Kind of, but that's almost an everyday thought.

I try not to spend time worrying about things I have no control over.

Can’t say that I’m worried because at some point you just kind of expect it. I mean, I don’t wish him ill and hope he’ll be fine, but, it’s always something. Guy just can’t stay healthy no matter what he does and how much he wants to

I'm not, I think he'll be fine. Can't believe he hit 31.5mph yesterday. The jets aren't the problem, it's the brakes and anti-sway bar that are showing wear.

I would rather have gotten a bat from a player, but I had Dave Kingman give me the bird once at Shea Stadium back in the mid 70's!

What did you do?

Nice! Those will be great. This year I put in six Early Girls, four Sweet 100 cherry tomatoes, and twelve Kohlrabi. I used to do 25-30 tomato plants and other asst veggies, but it's too much work for me now. I had to downsize to something I can take care of.

About 12-15 Budweiser's.

A friend of mine and I once were harassing Canseco… he snarled at us. But that was unaided by the Buds

Wow! Did you have a stand set up at the farmer’s market? I can’t imagine how many tomatoes you were picking every day.

This is my first year with a community garden plot in MN. Down in Texas I had 2 tomato plants that grew to be 8 ft tall producing 10-15 tomatoes a day.

It was a lot. I should have done a stand! Never thought of it. We actually ate most of the produce, and my wife and mom in-law used to do some canning too. Also gave some to the neighbors. Too much work for this old fossil to do now. Good eatin though!
