Chances for Gordon and Castro and a start for Jeffers. I could see more of a 50-50 split behind the plate until Vázquez gets it going a little bit.

Agreed. That's a big advantage to having two decent catchers - you can start the one who's hitting more often and go back and forth. Vasquez needs a break.

Key game for the Twins today. They face Cease and Giolito, who both have been very effective against the Twins of late. Varland is making his seventh career start and Lopez is coming off two poor outings. It would be very helpful if the bats are productive early.........

The three Twins' regulars who have struggled the most up until now are all right handed--Miranda, Correa and Vazquez--so I wonder if it has to do with facing so many right handed pitchers.
