Byron Sano(Miguel Buxton?) got a hit and didn't strike out.

Don't compare Buxton to Sano. Completely unfair.

Sano played the field and had a stolen base in his age 29 season.

Part of the reason I think why it always seems like the Twins are in an uphill battle coming into today our lead off batters are 17 for 85  (.200 avg) with 4 BB and 23 Ks. Kepler has led off 6 times, Buxton 5, Solano and Julien 3 and Larnach 1. Will be interesting to see if this team develops a “real” lead off hitter or if Rocco keeps ignoring it.

They really don't have any good candidates, but the real problem is they don't have any middle of the order hitters. There's a leadoff hitter every inning.

Not a lot of good options for lead off.  Maybe try Polanco.

That I guess is my point. #1 thru #9 swinging for the fences usually, game situation be darned.

Is 3rd base and Miranda's butt, magnetized?

Eagerly awaiting punchline...

What happened to that big, oversized first baseman we have?

Kirilloff hit a two run homer today in St. Paul to continue his hot hitting on rehab. I'm thinking we have room for him on the roster this week. If he hits like Polanco, we start rotating every player on rehab assignments maybe?

Which completely invalidates the argument I often hear about the Twins using their relievers according to situations, rather than roles.

7th inning? Jax

8th inning? Lopez

Lopez is throwing 96-97 versus 98-100 so I guess weather or cold gun or something.

I'll take 99 mph, for $500, Alex.

Castro, enjoy St Paul, despite Watkins windmilling.

Who's mistake was it (I can't watch the game) - Castro or Watkins?

Arreaz will probably lead the NL in hitting. But he's not in Minnesota any longer. Would he help the lineup? Sure he would. But they now have Lopez. He will help the Twins too. If they could have gotten Lopez for Kepler or Gordon or Larnach you'd be happy. But they're not getting him with one of those options

This! Gotta give value to get value in trade.

1. Castro has the base easily stolen, why the heck is MAT swinging?

2. Then what the heck is Castro doing?

This team is not well coached

Had the sound off but it looks like the Nationals player faked out Castro. Baldelli talked with the umpire. I'm thinking Rocco has a point because it looked like the fielder tagged Castro on the fake, which is interference.

"Trust your stuff."  When your fastball down Main Street induces a whiff on 3-2, yeah, that's some stuff.
