wabene Verified Member Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 The Twins have hit the skids, but now we have Bailey Ober up to make our day! Go Twins!
stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 Time for a "get well" game.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 No excuse not to put up a big number offensively. Corbin has been the worst starting pitcher for the last 3 seasons. Let’s see double digit runs today!
wabene Verified Member Posted April 23, 2023 Author Posted April 23, 2023 Have we ever witnessed Mr Ober go seven strong? This is a big chance to grab a job he wants very badly.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 After today, the losing streak is ‘Ober’!

Fritzderkat Verified Member Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 After following the Twins with dispassion for 20 years, I am now finding the best reason I hung in there so long was Luis Arraez. As of this morning, with Miami, he's hitting .444.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 I still make the deal, acquiring Lopez.

He will help the Twins too. If they could have gotten Lopez for Kepler or Gordon or Larnach you'd be happy. But they're not getting him with one of those options
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 Tuned in just in time to see a four-pitch walk in the first inning. And then the run-scoring double. Cueing up the Abe Simpson revolving door GIF just in case...
RickOShea Verified Member Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 Welcome to the 2023 season, Mr Ober.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 close to a 30 pitch first inning?, Yes, Ober is the answer.
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 Twins: Swing for the fences, hit an occasional HR, strike out a lot. Nationals: Get the bat on the ball, reach base, beat the Twins.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 Apparently Twins announcers check whether we're at bat or on the pitching mound to decide whether the cold weather affects our offense or our run-prevention more.
Parfigliano Verified Member Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 Just shutup about the cold weather already
HokieRif Verified Member Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 already an uninspiring start. There better be some extreme discount on drinks for the adults in attendance today, otherwise its going to be hard to spot the difference between the stands and the batter's eye by the middle innings.
Schmoeman5 Verified Member Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 Walks will kill you. That and a perfect ball dumped down the line. Putting the ball in play. Tired of the homerun or nothing approach

OvertheHill Verified Member Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 And there is your 2023 Twins season in a microcosm.

Parfigliano Verified Member Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 Good inning for Twins only one K
RickOShea Verified Member Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 When you have to start blaming Mother Nature for your mediocority, you may want to re-evaluate your priorities in building a team.
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 Garrett watched that like he was made of Stone.
MMMordabito Verified Member Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 Watch your pitcher not give you a chance, and then go down 1-2-3 without wimper. What a gutless team?
